As previously stated Fox does offer legit views from the democrat side , MSNBC is a total propaganda machine for one side only . As far as Maddow goes how anyone stomachs someone that condescending is beyond me . Could'nt care less her choice of bed partners , her attitude is awful.

Ditto for those that watch Fox. By the way, I watch neither regularly. I only watch them if they are n in airports, hotels, public places.

I have switched between both on election night, but that's about it.

 

I watch them all at times, but I must say MSNBC really editorializes quite a bit with the so called news. However, they all do this to some extent. Gone are the days when we got "just the facts" reporting from "journalists" and not populists.

I think Morning Joe is pretty good.

CNN and Fox both do a decent job on actual "News Reporting" and give good coverage of Breaking News Events.

 

Fox leans Right and CNN leans Left, but both will give opposing views some time on their programs. Fox has changed dramatically from years past and moved back from the edge of the cliff on the Right. CNN has done the same thing they have moved back from the cliff on the left and are closer to the center than they were, but still lean left.

 

MSNBC has, for the most part, Thelma and Louised right of the left cliff and they aint moving back from that.

I've got a great idea... stop watching cable TV news. It's terrible.

 

You give too much credit for calling this "news". It is blatant propaganda from both ideologies.

If I'm in a mood to hate the democrats I watch Fox. If I'm in a mood to hate republicans I watch MSNBC. If I'm in a mood to hate Trump I watch either! I don't have to watch anything to hate Hillary.

I generally avoid watching TV news, though I will click over during breaking events (Twitter is far better for this) or just to see how they are covering whatever is going on.

 

CNN is relentlessly awful and this election season has brought out the worst of what passes for news today. Who they think is going to win the nomination, who they believe are viable candidates, or who has "momentum" (which is bizarre in itself since the term essentially means who the media will cover more) is not journalism or reporting, it's just random people of various credibility talking. They might as well read threads from here aloud on air.

 

And this is all just a way to maintain a grimy veneer of objectivity. If CNN assembles a panel containing a Trump mouthpiece and a Sanders mouthpiece then they are providing "balanced" coverage, who could argue?! This is not to mention the entire idea of argument and conflict as news attracts viewers who would otherwise be too bored with staid, fact-based reporting. How many people tune in to see election results then rubberneck at the car wreck of a Trumpite arguing the KKK was some sort of liberal enterprise or the shoutfest between "surrogates" of Cruz and Clinton over who is running the more honest campaign?

I would watch soccer over MSNBC. And that is real bad.

I agree all Networks have their negatives. I do agree with bug that Bill O'Reilly is the best thing going but he isn't perfect either.

 

Speaking of Fox, I like Megyn Kelly less every time I watch her. I used to like her show okay but anymore she is better suited for MSNBC with the way she beats up on Trump. And in her case it doesn't feel like balance, it feels personal.

 

Anywho, I think it is good to watch a variety of news shows if news shows are your thing.

Chris Matthews is my go-to guy for analysis. I like to be entertained while I'm being informed. Having said that, I watch Fox more than MSNBC. Some of that is just because I want to know what Murdoch's forces of evil are up to. I seldom miss Chris Wallace's Sunday morning show on Fox. I'm constantly flipping among Fox, MSNBC and CNN. Every once in a while I stumble upon a snippet of useful news.

Forget Fox and MSNBC or CNN and XYZ. All you have to do is listen to Mark Levin.:thumb:
