I have had to eat that tough old crow a few times myself and have developed a good recipe – if you find that you need it.

 

I’m looking forward to a big crowd, good game and an exciting atmosphere for high school football.

I hope I do not need your crow recipe Greybeard, but I will keep you in mind. I also have had crow on more than one occassion and it left a bad taste each time. I agree, it should be a great high school football Friday night. I pray that each player comes out of the game without injury and everyone conducts themselves properly. (fans included):thumb:

Rain may be a good thing. If it was 110 I do not think it would be as hot as it was in last years game. I can't think of any other game I have watched being that humid. The kids were simply amazing to withstand those conditions.

I think Raceland is much improved from last year, but I do not think that they can beat the Tomcats. Look for a better game this year. Raceland will have a good year and this game should help prepare them for it.

I agree you are a Rookie when it comes to Raceland football. How many transfers did Raceland have last year or the year before? You are however entitled to your opinion. I am just curious, have you watched either team scrimmage this season ? By the way, welcome to BGP.

Looks like a good time to bring out the "mud cleats" again.

If Raceland is able to throw the ball then it will bee a alittle closer than everyone expects. Ashland needxs to stick with one QB.

...The only thing I can guarantee is that the Rams will show up and play hard nose football for the entire game and will not quit regardless of the score.

 

And that "never say die" mentality is something inherent with every Raceland team I have had the pleasure of watching. Last year, the Rams never stopped playing hard, even when the game was getting out of reach, Raceland kept it interesting. This game will not be a cakewalk for whoever comes out on top...Raceland knows what it's like to come into Putnam and win.

I really think some of these predictions are going a bit far....Raceland is good this year, possibly one of their better teams, and possibly could do some great damage in the Playoffs, everyone is this area including myself would love to see them win in the Playoffs. But, I feel Ashland is in just a bit higher classification as Raceland. It is always good to see a underdog Raceland team knock off a High profile Ashland team, but just dont see it happening.

I don't agree with that at all. Ashland won't win because of what's across their jerseys, especially this year with a much improved Raceland team. Raceland WILL be able to play with them.

Just a little stretch, but Rams 21-20 in a highly contested game, well played, broadcast with the usual unbiased charm of 97.1.:eek:
