Again, You have not seen Raceland. The Beach kid from Greenup transfered to Raceland. Grizzle has gotten bigger and better and so has Beach. I believe Raceland has a great chance of beating Ashland this year. A GREAT chance.

The Beach kid had never shown me anything. He might be a pretty good player, but Raceland will need more than 2 players to beat or even come close to beating the Tomcats and Leon Hart in Putnam Stadium.

Trust me GIAT, they have a lot more than 2 players. A lot more.

Exactly, that is why I said "I dont know if Raceland has anything else." :thumb:

Then why say the loss of Tolliver will be HUGE if you don't know who they have to replace him?

Well it doesn't take a genious to figure that one out. They are going to be a big threat. They have some other playmakers at the receiver position also. Beach is a great player, he just never had a team around him that was any good. He was the only threat opponents had to key on while he was playing at Greenup. This year will be a coming out party. The Raceland team thinks they WILL beat Ashland. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't either. I think this is definately the game to watch in week 1.

The Rams our coming to town!!! Thats the talk around town that this will be like 1998, when the Raceland came out of there with a big W!!!

98?

99 Im sorry about that it was 16-12 in favor of the rams!

Just ask Fairview what happens to kid that transfer to other schools in their first game of the season with Ashland....If the kid is going to be a factor in the game, then dont be surprised to see Swift hand the opposing Coach a paper from KHSAA stated the players eligibilty right before the game....Happened to Fairview...:thumb: Swift does have some connections.

All that aside....I believe Ashland still prevails, even with Beach playing.

Are you ready for some football??????????????

The loss of Tolliver might hurt some, but this is why Raceland is a football program and not just a team with a couple or more of good players for a 3 or 4 year strech every 30 years or so. GIAT you should know this, how many great players has went through Putnam Stadium through the years and Ashland has came back after losing them with as good if not better team in the next years? I think that the keys to the game will be turnovers and mental mistakes. Raceland HAS to play better defense this year and from what I understand they have made great strides in doing that. Raceland has a crew of linebackers this season that imo would rival just about anyones (not having seen others). I tend to agree with U.K. fan, it would not suprise me if Raceland comes out of it with a victory and an Ashland win would not suprise me either. I will say that imo Ashland will be the best team that Raceland will play this year and a win over the Cats will be very tough to come by. L.C.A. will be good, Paris and Nicholas Co. as I understand are much better this season and Fairview in the last 5 years or so has been good and will probably be a threat in the district again this year. However I do not think that any of these teams are better than Ashland.

Im sure Raceland will have some players who set up to replace those who have graduated just like every other school does.
