Again, You have not seen Raceland. The Beach kid from Greenup transfered to Raceland. Grizzle has gotten bigger and better and so has Beach. I believe Raceland has a great chance of beating Ashland this year. A GREAT chance.

And don't forget Benji Mullins. He is a great receiver. Between Beach and Mullins, our receiving is right up there.

Raceland has a pretty balanced attack and the depth at each position is probably the deepest it has ever been. While Raceland has several skill players it will take a total team effort to come away from Putnam with a win. The only thing I can guarantee is that the Rams will show up and play hard nose football for the entire game and will not quit regardless of the score.

I hope so oldrambler, I really do not like to eat crow.

 Me either, I have had to do that on more than one occaision before and it doesn't taste very good. I will be extremely dissapointed if the Rams do not play hard the entire game regardless of the outcome.

I really think some of these predictions are going a bit far....Raceland is good this year, possibly one of their better teams, and possibly could do some great damage in the Playoffs, everyone is this area including myself would love to see them win in the Playoffs. But, I feel Ashland is in just a bit higher classification as Raceland. It is always good to see a underdog Raceland team knock off a High profile Ashland team, but just dont see it happening.

Good Luck to both teams! One thing for sure, it will be an exciting Friday Night!

I have had to eat that tough old crow a few times myself and have developed a good recipe – if you find that you need it.

I’m looking forward to a big crowd, good game and an exciting atmosphere for high school football.

Cheers,

You may be right RB, Raceland imo would/will always be an underdog going into a game against an Ashland. Raceland players and coaches like playing the stronger competetion when they can. They have always played the bigger schools when they can. I can't say how Raceland's season will turn out. i do look for a very good team. As far as the playoffs, we are in the position (as always) of being paired up with the NKY district which imo is the toughest in the state year in and year out. People like Beechwood, NCC can play with anyone in the state regardless of class. Also Raceland (or any team from our district) has to win 3 weeks in a row against that district in order to advance to the state semi's. That is usually the case bc the NKY district has dominated this district through the years and if you win in week 1 of the playoffs you more than likely will be playing another NKY team in rounds 2 and 3 if you advance.

The early forecast is for very hot temps with isolated storms and rain.

Dont think so, its supposed to be 90 degrees.

What does 90 degrees have to do with it.. :D
