"Just Say No" : How Nancy Reagan Helped America Lose the War on Drugs

Featured Replies

I applaud her for trying and yes it was a failure as has every program from DARE to whatever. You will not stop it until you legalize it and maybe not then.

Because someone other than themselves posted it. It's like family...criticism from within-acceptable; from without -not acceptable.

If SF ever posted anything negative about the Left, I might understand. I have often posted negative things about those on the Right (McConnell, Graham).

You could at least let the lady be buried before you start posting crap. SF just pulled a McConnell.

Marijuana, legalize it.

I can't agree that heroin, meth, etc. be legalized. I see it's damage on the user and their families everyday.

If there's still BGP, and MtnRef is still here, you bet your bazookas.

If Nancy Reagan had kids say Just Say No to Drugs

Michelle Obama has school kids :JUST SAY NO TO SCHOOL LUNCHES:

What? :lol2: You know I speak the truth and it's not piling on. Heck, he OWNS it!

YES, I will take ownership, not one bit ashamed of bashing Michelle Antoinette, she is fair game.

I worked with a school district in Ohio that was not to pleased with the changes Mrs. Obama passed which regulated their cookies. And I'm not joking.

Geez. You couldn't even wait for the dirt to settle?

The war on drugs has been almost as successful as the war on poverty. The government says one thing and then enacts policies that encourages behavior that contributes to the multitude of social ills in our society, including drug use.

Mrs. Reagan had many redeeming qualities. Her dedication to her husband being way up there on the list. The same husband who oversaw the slashing of a billion dollars from the school lunch program in 1981 (thankfully I was already an adult), gave 90 days to implement it; resulting in proposals (never implemented) such as ketchup and pickle relish as qualifying vegetables.

"Just say no" was naive and ineffective. There can be little doubt.

Poor MtnRef, the left really likes to heap it on him. Stay strong MtnRef!

Not just the left.

Buddy that's a great post!!!

What's your point?

To dance on her grave for as long as he can.

Hard to believe people want to say anything negative about a fellow human being who just died .Who by every and all accounts was a fine lady. This post is a tiny microcosm of society in general . Disrespectful , rude , all about 1 side in politics ( neither " side" gets it right all the time ) . Just a awful thread on a classy first lady .
