Oh and I forgot that Jaime Tippia, who went out early in the season last year will be back in his starting spot on D. We should also benefit from having a tackle back that did not play for personal reasons last year and would have been a huge help up front on offense.

Will DeSales' new stadium be ready for the 2016 season? If so, I imagine that might energize the team and fan base.

If you're implying that they are in from the East, then you'd be correct. If you're implying they are gonna represent the east in the title game, I have to disagree.

So who represents the East and why? It looks like there is no clear favorite to run away with it going into the season, like Mayfield in the West. Would be curious to hear some opinions.

Holy Cross should be great on offense, they return some size on the oline. Biggest concern is defense, they've given up a lot of points recently

NCC will always be the favorite to win the east or atleast 90% of the time. The only team besides NCC was Holy Cross.

Holy cross defense should be much approved next year with LB Derrick Barnes 112 tackles 1 INT and Owen finke 96 tackles, 2 INT coming back. Also Xavier Abernathy coming back who had 20 tackles, 3 sacks and 9 QB hurries. He is a big key to the defense when healthy. IMO Cov Holy cross has a very good chance to compete for a 2a State championship this year.

We are all in the same district. Since HC will have the most experienced team, why would anyone be favored over them in a preseason poll.

 

Lloyd returns a good receiver, running back and starting qb. They should have a pretty good team.

We understand that Lloyd has some talent coming back... The question is how much talent did they lose.

I heard Alex runion one of there key players had knee surgery today.

It is hard to guess how good Cov. Holy Cross will be. Almost all of their fans who post on here have historically overstated how good they are/expect them to be. The fact is Coach Kozerski has 2 winning seasons since 2006. One of those he went 7-6. The other one he won a state championship. They should build a statue in front of Holy Cross for how QB Kyle Fuller performed in the post season to win them that title.

 

All that being said, I do think this Holy Cross team has the potential to be a top tier team. They have some talent and Barnes definitely looks the part of a premier player. Unfortunately, I have no faith in what anyone predicts for them and will have to see them do it on the field before I will believe they are a contender. Until mid-September, I will reserve my judgment of how good this Holy Cross team is.
