You heard it here. MAYFIELD is the FAVORITE in 2016!!!!!!!! I am NOT disagreeing one bit. According to Vegas they have a 98% chance of repeating.

This. Soooooooooo much talk before the season even. Had to set a record. My favorite were the dozens of posts about how "nasty" the Desales' defense was. Just loved describing the defense as "nasty." Wanna review lol? The defense is nasty. This isn't 1A anymore. Maybe we have too many players going both ways. We might get an injury. They have played teams better than us. Western Kentucky is not the same as Jefferson county. And so on. Every thread a gazillion pages long. And then what happened? Well, apparently not only did we beat them, but we knocked their internet out as well, because there was precious little crow-eating. I agree, it was so much fun.

 

DeSales D was nasty. They still finished the season ranked #1 by stats. You can look my post up after the game, congratulating Mayfield. It was a good game. They made better adjustments than we did. I said before the game not taking anything away from NCC, that it was the State Championship matchup. We came out and supported our Colts, met quite a few Mayfield fans, and wished them luck. Good atmoshpere.

I think it will be a good rivalry.

I don't think anything you said, at least that I can recall, would qualify for what MFFan or myself were referring too. Some of the others like Iam4thecats and Coltfootball or ColtCountry or a few others clearly, at least early in the season, didn't get it. Though we were hopefully all just trash talking for fun. I do believe that some of the Colts now realize we were not the dominant little 1A school that did not know what they were getting themselves into and with most of the key players back from last year title team we should be a force to be taken very seriously as a title contender.

If that little shifty rb is back, which I think he is, then you should be the favorite. My order would be:

2)CAL

3)DeSales.
