I couldn't remember really but after that snide comment I do remember hazard in 2011. But you wouldn't believe me no ways on forgetting. But Caldwell and I think Warren Central are the only other teams in the last few years.

I would like to see hazard and Mayfield playing in 2017 and 2018. Hazard will have excellent shots at state those years. There will be very young in 2016 but talented and hopefully stay under the radar until playoffs.

Back in 2011, I remember walking into the WKU stadium for the HC-Glasgow game and incredulously looking at the scoreboard showing Hazard beating Mayfield. I was very shocked.

Didn't they lose their DL? I thought their DL was all seniors. I think the group that is going to be the best IMO on Defense is the LB's.

 

Tyler is back on the DL but the replacement of the lost 2 are the biggest pieces for the defense to replace. LB core has the chance to be the best in school history in many peoples opinion, mine included. The secondary is also expected to be very good. I have heard rumors that the Shelton kid, who contributed as a underclassman on the D line, maybe returning after missing last year for off the field reasons. If he does return, he will instantly have a impact but until it happens I will look at the DL without him

All state players, J Jackson and L Scott both sustained knee injuries and the best lineman on the team broke his leg. In essence we lost 3 of the 4 best players in 1 night. Bac is well aware of H title that year and was wanting to have a little fun and gig us a little knowing we feel like we were not the same team we had been a week before.

Honestly it slipped my mind. Like I said I knew you wouldn't believe it. Hazard was fortunate to be the better team that day just like Mayfield has for the past several years. 2014 was a very good game and that Williamsburg won every category except the score board.

I look for this Mayfield team to be scary good on defense. If the young athletes we have can develop into the recievers I expect them to, we will be VERY explosive on offense. Expectations are high and this could be a memorable year.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the last time Mayfield played danville, the Cardinals won. In answering Bac2369 I said never, and although that may not be entirely true, it is rare for Mayfield not to be stout on defense, even in the games that Danville beat us, it usually was not because of our defense.
