Coming from a guy who played with that state championship team, Kyle fuller had a great year but holy cross doesn't win state if it wasn't for all Kyles weapons he had on his team Eric walker won MVP honors in the state championship game. Football is a team game and holy cross had a all round great team that year. IMO this upcoming holy cross team actually reminds me a lot of the state team.

I think HC has a great shot at competing for a state championship. This team was a couple plays away from beating Lloyd and NCC in the regular season. They return a bunch on offense. They do return a bunch on.defense. I like HC as the favorite in their region.

 

What does the other region with Danville and Prestonburg return?

I see this team being as good as last year. Agreed that the pass game is a question mark (only because of the proven players that left) but I think what Mayfield has to utilize there they will be fine. I would add another kid for Mayfield in that mix Soph Avery Bacon, 6'3" about 190. Great hands like his brother Marshall Bacon is the word but is currently playing on the Defense I think which could change I suppose. The Defense stays as tough or tougher than last year which is scary. I smell the burgers cooking in the endzone already.

I like seeing everyone sleep on the Colts. Perfect. Yes CAL has a couple studs back, but they lost a ton on both sides.

Teams will compete , just like last year, but can they beat Mayfield?

I look for this Mayfield team to be very very good defensively but the offense will has some spots that have some tiny question marks that I think will be answered. Mayfield has the bulls-eye on its back.....again

Holy Cross will have a good team this. They will not compete for a state title.

This is the best I have felt about what is returning in several years at MF. It should take a very good team to beat the Cardinals but I have always felt you have to be good, we should be, and have a timely break or two or avoid that 1 costly misQ or 2 that can beat great. Unlike Snake, I expect the offense to be well ahead of this past years with the 3rd year starter in Arnett at QB and Bright at RB with Mathews to back up Bright. I think the receiver core will be on par with last year and the line will certainly be better with the returning core back

Didn't they lose their DL? I thought their DL was all seniors. I think the group that is going to be the best IMO on Defense is the LB's.

We understand that Lloyd has some talent coming back... The question is how much talent did they lose.
