Are we the only two BGPers who have worked a fruit sale together?

Seems that way

Love this!

Right on cue.:ylsuper:

This ROCKS!!!! :taz:

Right on cue. :ylsuper:

If they can't afford the additional costs to see it at BB&T, they probably can't really afford to go if it were held in a HS gym either. If they did still go, that's pretty financially irresponsible. JMO.

I said that too, was scolded for it. Shows you why people are in the situations they are in.

I'm sure they would listen. But from reading these posts from the Elite clique, you 9th Regionists seem to like that comfy leg room and a quiet arena. You won't get that down here. It's packed, and it's LOUD!

Looks like you got the entire crowd at the arena in the background of the pic! lol

You are correct about cliques at BGP, lawildcat, ukmustang, MentschTrachtGottLacht, etc. They could care less it appears about good people getting ripped off by an arena, then they call people whiners and names instead of intelligently discussing the points. If the players (girls especially) are content to play in from of 9,000 + empty seats, let it be so. Seeing the photos from last night's CovCath-Newport game, it looked like a big empty tomb. The arena looks like it's 3/4 empty. What a sad situation. Meanwhile at Henry County, 5,000+ fans, packed gym, great atmosphere. But some people like their cozy, comfy seats and plenty of leg room. lol

This Oldham County vs Henry County, keep in mind this is Henry County's home court, hardly sold out and rocking!

Again disagree. Yes there are people who put themselves into financial trouble. But sometimes that just is not the case. Look at this: Mom and Dad, two kids go to a high school game. $6 each to get in. Each person gets a BBQ sandwich and a drink, $3 -$4 each. Our total is at $36-40

Same family goes to bb&t arena: $8 each to get in the door. $5 for parking, maybe not if you want to carry the 3 year old a mile. A hotdog and a drink for each person, $9 each. Total $68-73

Point is- some families can afford to do something for entertainment that if $36-40 for the night and got them fed. Double that and it's not happening. Have to do it 2-3 nights to try and support your team and it's way out of budget. Being financially responsible is doing what you can afford, doesn't mean doing nothing at all.

On the other hand I saw a pretty good crowd at the arena last night. I was there, just didn't spend any money there. Had I been at a school, I would have. Not trying to argue with anyone, I like the events being held at the bigger arena. Just don't like the prices of the concessions. And I also can't stand when people think they know what's best for other people to do or not to do. The greatest of debaters can see and understand both sides, even when they have their own opinion on the matter. A lot of people on here are so one sided and blind it's unreal. I will blame some of this on the fact we are just reading post and can't see the person's face or hear their tone of voice.

Misspelled word

Pre-sale tickets at schools are $6 for 9th region tourney. You can park for free and walk about the same distance as you would from the $5 parking garage. You do get 2 games for your $6 except for the Finals. That is the same price for a football game ticket.

BTW tickets for the Girls Sweet 16 will be $13 a session.

I know about the tickets, but not everyone has a student to get the tickets. And I have parked at the free places, lot further than the garage, I do like getting 2 games for one ticket.

10th Region - no $ for parking and $7 for ticket. Pizza and Hot Dogs $2.

9th Region - parking $5 and ticket $8. Pizza I think was $5 and Hot Dog $4.

Someone is making a killing at the 9th Region Tourney!

Currently at the 11th region semis at EKU no charge for parking and only $6 for tickets not checked concessions yet. I know at the 16 region MSU charges $5 for parking, but a few years ago started letting districts take care of the concessions its on a four year rotation the districts staff it and take care of running it each night, and that really helps the two schools who don't make the regional that year with some extra money.

Girls State Tourney Prices:

Advance Tickets: Courtside - $31.25, Reserved - $15.50, General Admission - $11

Day Of Tickets: Courtside - $35, Reserved - $18, General Admission - $13

Parking: $5.00

I went last night, we parked off campus and walked. My father in law( mid 50s) his two friend (mid 50s) and my 7 year old son. Took about 5-7 minutes to walk. Bought pre sale tickets then gasp we didn't indulge on concessions. Seems the main hang up for NKU is concession cost. When we were young my parents would every great once and a while would take us to a movie. My mom always said make sure you eat enough before the show, bc they weren't buying anythjng. Craziest thing was we ate before and didn't feel the need for a snack at the show. If you're on a tight budget like I am, just don't worry about eating at the game. Eat at home. I've never got how eating at a basketball game was even appealing.

Also, BB&T arena pretty nice venue for ghe tourney.

Where exactly can you park and walk? Thinking about doing the same thing.

It was already getting dark but we parked in a lot by the soccer field.
