The GOP establishment was so worried about losing congressional seats because of Trump's candidacy. Now, I would say it would be prudent to be a trump ally to win or keep a congressional seat.

I've been a conservatively moderate republican since I knew what one was. My only hope at this point is Trump gets a VP candidate that's legitimate and I can at least vote for a VP.

 

Why vote R at all if that's the case? Think about third party candidates. It would take a LOT of time but if enough people went that route eventually it would have an effect on the big 2.

Do you have a source for that? If this is true, then this thing is OVER, and I'm not just talking about the primaries. Would like to see the stats for female vote as well.

You're right it could, but not this election. I'd rather cast a vote where some of my ideals and principles could be heard rather than one that will essentially fall on def ears.

 

This is also why so so many people don't care to vote.

 

If anything that show how we need more widely based polls that express folks aren't 100% pleased with who they're voting for. Because this election that will definitely be the case. The lesser of two evils one way or the other.

Hell if I trusted that Hillary didn't want to be elected simply to change the tipping scale for future elections, controversial legislation etc. I would almost vote for her.

 

I think she could be a good leader but there's just sooo much baggage and so much about her I don't trust as far as issues here in the US.

I don't agree with that. If you are consciously pulling the lever for a candidate, you're voting for them because you support them. JMO.

I can say I've voted a certain direction in 2012 because I was voting against the other candidate.

I am thinking that all the people who think Trump's ceiling is the mid 30's need to re-assess...

 

Bush voters are not all going to go to Rubio (proved last night)...bad blood between the two so Trump is going to get some of them. If Rubio drops out, his voters will NOT in droves go to Cruz as they don't like each other. Vice versa if Cruz drops out first. Kasich and Carson are getting so few votes now, does it even matter where their votes go when they get out next week? Trump will get some of their votes too. This may be effectively over after next week (Super Tuesday).
