February 19, 201610 yr For everyone talking about the Vatican wall, we remember that the pope was basically a prisoner inside the Vatican when Garibaldi's red shirts invaded Rome in the 19th century and unified Italy, don't we? He didn't put up the wall last week... or even in the 19th century. In any case, I'm not worried about the wall. It's a typical Trump bit of nonsense to talk about this massive project and then expect someone else to pay for it. The man is woefully unprepared for the presidency. Well then maybe the Pope should have his own wall torn down as a sign of unity. Unprepared, Obama was also unprepared and yet so many see him as a savior.

If our border is secured I think we'll be building it...not Mexico. There is no upside for Mexico to build it at this point unless the US pays them to do it...even then it would be more for US security than for Mexico to keep their people in. Mexico doesn't care. The more that get out of Mexico into the US, the more that send money back into their economy every year. Over $20,000,000,000 is sent back to Mexico each year from the US, that's a decent bump to their economy.

February 19, 201610 yr Instead of building walls, why not just find every illegal immigrant and document them? Give social security cards and IDs then we can start taxing them as well. Or am I wrong in this thinking?
