January 17, 201610 yr IMO, the curse is alive and well. The fact he won in a different uniform in a game that GB seemed destined to win, just solidifies the curse. Just my opinion. Sadly, I think you're right... Wonder if our grandchildren's grandchildren will see a Bengals playoff win?
January 17, 201610 yr The Bengals curse is over thanks to Carson Palmer! The bengals will win the super bowl next year now! Thanks Carson!
January 17, 201610 yr Wow. Rodgers has always been my favorite non-Bengal and if they would have won that game, that would have gone down as the GREATEST play in NFL history. But the curse is over.
January 17, 201610 yr I watched Hail Mary Detroit live and watched Hail Mary Arizona live. The rest of the playoffs are a gift. I am satisfied with this season. WOW.
January 17, 201610 yr Sadly, I think you're right... Wonder if our grandchildren's grandchildren will see a Bengals playoff win? No idea, I've been a Green Bay fan for the past 25 years or so. I don't dislike the Bengals one bit, in fact I root for them anytime they are not playing Green Bay. But I've seen enough during my lifetime that I would not influence my future grandchildren to become Bengals fans, lol.
January 17, 201610 yr Palmer didn't play his best game and had some bad mistakes. However he did make plays when it counted. As I have said with the Bengals. I think now that he has that playoff win, he will go out next week and play much more relax and play great like he did all regular season.
January 17, 201610 yr So, now is the curse over? Did Palmer break it or did he only win because he's in a different uniform? Fitz wanted that game... Wow! I think once Carson dawned a Cardinal jersey any semblance of a curse remained in the Ohio River Valley. And if there was a curse karma finally caught up with it evident by that coin toss... How an official in OT of a playoff game pulls that off is beyond me. Fitz was incredible in OT. Carson freeing himself from the pocket, bouncing off his own lineman, locating, and completing the pass to Fitz wasn't too shabby either. Great job on the YAC and poor angles by GB defensers in the open field. I wish the Cardinals the best and would like to see them win it all! :thumb:
January 17, 201610 yr Fun, fun game to watch. Palmer was just awful, but Fitz was unbelievable. Not many QB's can do what Rodgers did with truly no receivers is what puts him in a very elite cast of just a few..

It would have been stupid but I was hoping they'd just ride Rodgers and go for two.
January 17, 201610 yr This game just reinforced what is so obvious but that the experts don't talk about much. Arizona won the game for one primary reason...luck. Palmer played incredibly badly most of the game and was lucky to not have thrown one or two more red zone picks. A GB DB flat out dropped one right in his hands and the TD to Floyd was a joke. Total luck...nothing else as usually a ball that is deflected like that gets picked. I really did not care who won that game but AZ seemed to get the breaks to me... The Hail Mary by GB was incredibly lucky too. I will give Rodgers A LOT of credit on that as very few QB's could have even gotten that pass off the way he was being chased to his left and had to throw it across his body...crazy! One thing that was NOT Luck was Fitz...total stud...love him...
January 17, 201610 yr Another odd stat...Rodgers is 0-7 in OT games in his career and 0-3 in playoff OT games. I think they said on ESPN that in the 3 playoff games, he has not gotten on the field in any of the OT losses...other team won the coin flip and went down and scored.
