I just got your site some hits.

What did you do?

The coach shouldnt just be turned into a fan .. he should spend a few years not allowed to any sporting event in the county for a couple years . Let him miss Jr's games , that will hurt ( I assume he has his pride and joy playing on the team )

If the coach assaulted a referee then he should be arrested and charged.

Hopefully the officials association will refuse to send officials back to the school until this matter is satisfactorily taken care of. Schools need to provide protection for officials from idiot fans or idiot coaches.

I haven't been to a middle school game in years, but all high school games that I go to seem to have one or more police officers in attendance. Is the same true at middle school events?

Interesting twist that some posters would say that officials that attempt to apply the rules are idiots...when it's convenient to believe that way.

What if a referee beat a coach's dad up? Hypothetically speaking of course.

Are these referees part of an association or are they local yokels?

Haven't heard anything for a while.

So what really happened and why?

I have seen the full video and I'm about to call some people out. The fight involved a Pike County magistrate and one of the referees kicking an elderly man in the head. And it's fully visible in the video.

I couldn't figure out how to embed the video on here so I just posted the link to my site so it'll be easier.

What a joke, we all have had opinions at one time or another about refs at certain games but to charge at one on the basketball floor is ridiculous. Get a life, the adults are worse than the kids.

Go watch the updated video.

I don't think that absolves the Belfry side at all (assuming that we're taking the refs as being Phelps-homers). It actually makes Belfry and the magistrate look worse. Why did he feel the need to go down there?

My general impression for a while has been that EKY folks take their middle school sports way too seriously.

This poster on the Facebook link who lives in the area seems to agree with you:

Martine Gray These KY schools and a lot of schools in this area are all about CHEATING. It is how their kids grow up. From CHEATING referees to holdbacks, this area is known for CHEATING and being proud of it. It happened when my son played with Belfry and when he played against Belfry. The kids don't deserve this but the adults around here are the problem. If they really investigate this area there would be NO SPORTS played. Lord Bless...
