Honestly, every person that ran onto the floor, should be thrown in jail and charged. No need for fans to be on the court period.

What about the baby? :lol2:

Id say a CPS investigation is in order.

My general impression for a while has been that EKY folks take their middle school sports way too seriously.

With you being an outsider, you have no idea just how right you are with your statement :thumb:.

People get crazy over this stuff.

It looked like the scoreboard showed the score to be 7-6 with 5:01 left (in the 1st, 2nd--?). Isn't that kind of early in the game to get so exercised about the officiating?

WOW!!! pure craziness. I'm simply amazed at what possess adults to act like this.

Had a roommate from the greater Omaha metropolitan area, Knott County. He always said that the team with the most players standing at the end of the game was the winner.

Of course, he sported a few knife scars and drove a Gremlin with two bullet holes in the trunk that he said were deposited there by local law enforcement. Said things were "different down there".

Great post!

We both started in August 1973. When I started graduate school (still at Morehead) in August 1977, he was a fifth-year sophomore. Smart guy, went to school with insurance money he received from a car wreck (wore a neck brace when I first met him). Go to class in the fall, get a B average. Drink from January through May, get on academic probation. Rinse and repeat.

Of the five roommates I had, one was a guy from Long Island who ate creamed corn on toast a couple times a day so he could save his food money for weed. One was from Haldeman, his home had a kitchen sink and no other running water. One was from Iran. One was from Knott County, his home had a kitchen sink and no other running water. One was from the suburbs of Pittsburgh and was a Steelers fan.

The two guys from Kentucky were my closest friends of the five. Families welcomed that hippie from Baltimore with open arms every time I visited.

But I went to a few basketball games with both of them. Mountain ball is just different.

Hopefully the officials association will refuse to send officials back to the school until this matter is satisfactorily taken care of. Schools need to provide protection for officials from idiot fans or idiot coaches.

I haven't been to a middle school game in years, but all high school games that I go to seem to have one or more police officers in attendance. Is the same true at middle school events?

Was an officials association even used to get the refs? Not the norm for middle school.

Didn't know that. Well, hopefully individual officials will refuse to do games there until their safety can be assured.

Not sure what started the whole thing but the worst part is that a fan tackled a ref and attacked him. Then some idiot ran out on the court carrying an infant baby.
Infant baby as opposed to the adult babies who caused the fight . Typical mountain sportsmanship .
As usual...it's the parents who are ruining youth sports. This one includes everything from trying to "call the law" but there's no cell phone service to someone running into a brawl with a baby. NOTE: No kids were involved in the fight. It was all adults and Belfry's head coach' date=' attacked a referee. I just got your site some hits.
