January 8, 201610 yr I'm not going to judge all Syrian refugees on the actions of these two. Just like I don't judge all Americans on the criminal element within.
January 9, 201610 yr I'm not going to judge all Syrian refugees on the actions of these two. Just like I don't judge all Americans on the criminal element within. Nobody is judging all Syrian refugees by the actions of a few. Nobody....
January 9, 201610 yr I'm not going to judge all Syrian refugees on the actions of these two. Just like I don't judge all Americans on the criminal element within. I'm not judging, profiling, persecuting, demeaning or being racist, when I say no one comes in until we know Who, What, Where, When, Why. Our first priority is to the safety of American citizens. And that's not what is happening now.
January 9, 201610 yr Author I'm not going to judge all Syrian refugees on the actions of these two. Just like I don't judge all Americans on the criminal element within. RM you know I'm not judging anyone. Judging has nothing to do with the point I'm making. The point is we need to make sure our system is error proof before we let thousands in.
January 9, 201610 yr We don't have nearly as many people working on the ground as we used to. Why? Because the powers that be decided that the new technology could replace the people we had on the ground, they were wrong. Even if we had 10,000 over there working on the ground, how affective can you really expect them to be at becoming familiar with the background of everyone wanting to come over. It is simply not possible.
January 9, 201610 yr I'm not going to judge all Syrian refugees on the actions of these two. Just like I don't judge all Americans on the criminal element within. Who on here do you see judging all Syrians?
January 9, 201610 yr Exhibit B: Germany is trying to arrest 20+- asylum seekers who were involved in multiple sexual assults at a new years celebrations gathering in Germany. 120 reports by women being sexually assaulted were received during this event. Im not saying all Syrian refugees are bad, but it appears that at least 20 believe that women are fair game for blatant sexual assaults. To do this and not even be a legal citizen in a country that took you in is extremely troubling. I'm thinking these are the ones we don't want. I'm wondering now, how many of these are there?
January 9, 201610 yr I didn't say anyone in this thread judged anyone. In fact, I didn't even quote anyone. I'm speaking only for myself. So, back up, y'all. Everyone is welcome to post their thoughts, and the thoughts posted don't necessarily have to be in direct response to another poster or posters in the thread.
January 9, 201610 yr Even if we had 10,000 over there working on the ground, how affective can you really expect them to be at becoming familiar with the background of everyone wanting to come over. It is simply not possible. We are talking about two things here. One being what the government decided in the late 80's and early 90's, "let's use technology instead of people". The other is people to vet people coming in. I brought it up as we do have the people who can do the jobs, but we don't use them effectively. Someone who is God at their job who is giving the okay to do a proper check can do the job. That includes going into the camps or wherever and watch the people you will be conducting interviews with before they even meet you. And during the interview and vetting process you are still watching them outside your office. A person can be very effective at figuring out what makes a person tick. It's an easier process than what we are currently doing. But again, we are only letting families in now, who have small children.
January 9, 201610 yr I'm pretty certain we do. The government doesn't identify them for their safety but I am pretty sure there is an entire department of the CIA which has handlers working with people in the middle east who are acting as spies for us. Regardless, the Middle East is simply too big even dream that these people are even remotely familiar with all who are trying to come over. Cousin's husband just returned from such a mission in the middle east but still can't divulge where he was "planted". So you're spot on Bert. The notion that we don't have folks planted in those places is simply false.
January 9, 201610 yr And avian, I said we don't have the number that we used to have, or need now, the powers to be thought that technology could replace people on the ground, which was incorrect, they have employees all of the time asking and urging for them to getting back to where we once were.

January 9, 201610 yr Yet federal background checks aren't good enough for gun buyers, but are good enough to let these people in and 100k others? It's an average of 2 years between application for admittance to the US as a refugee.
January 10, 201610 yr Germany is feeling the effects of the refugees. 'Merkel out!': German far-right vents fury after Cologne attacks | GlobalPost
January 10, 201610 yr I think it is time for people who are on the left to admit that there are severe cultural differences between us and the middle east. One would think that all the sjw's and feminists would be right on top of this, but they are not. They are so afraid of not being PC that they don't want to admit that there is a huge lack of respect for the western way of life by these "refugees". Instead, they deflect blame and try to blame everyone but the "refugees". They don't respect german law and women especially. Liberals need to start admitting that there can only be so much tolerance for the intolerable. Some news papers are saying that only 20% of the immigrants are Syrian refugees. I do have hope for Germany. Angela Merkel has come out and said that they will relax the deportation laws and will start shipping those criminals out. She has compromised her citizen's safety and is now reaping what she has sowed. Also, as a fellow lefty, it is starting to get on my nerves when people deflect blame like the cologne mayor. People need to get out of the mindset that minorities can't be scumbags as well.
