December 21, 201510 yr That they needed to lean on the ground game w an inexperienced QB. It didn't work well Good win for B-Gals, gets them in playoffs. Steelers defeat Broncos, looks like a first-round playoff game looms between B-Gals and Steelers at Three Rivers Stadium SouthWest, also known as P. Brown Stadium. Big Ben with another great day passing. If B-Gals do not get Dalton back quickly, they are in some trouble. Don't see them beating Denver next week with McCarron.
December 21, 201510 yr That they needed to lean on the ground game w an inexperienced QB. It didn't work well I really don't think they leaned on the ground game because of the qb. With Eifert out and Green hurt and them basically using him as a decoy today, they were forced to run. Would have been close to the same with Dalton. We saw last year how they tried to run the ball more last year when skill guys were hurt. If Eifert and Green are healthy next week, I think we won't see such a conservative game plan.

If Green and Eifert are healthy and play the Bengals win. If only one plays then it goes either way. If neither play then it may get ugly.
December 21, 201510 yr Bengals are in position for a first round bye if they can beat the Broncos. Then the Steelers will be playing someone else in round one.

Would have been close to the same with Dalton. We saw last year how they tried to run the ball more last year when skill guys were hurt. If Eifert and Green are healthy next week, I think we won't see such a conservative game plan. Come on FC you are smarter than that. They ran the ball 35 times and passed it 21. They were protecting him as they should. They used him perfectly. This script was the way they planned it and will next week unless AD is QB which is really really doubtful. Except they had to think they would run it better. The 49ers sold out on the run and AJ used the opportunities with his short field to make them pay. Story Defense, strategic passing and 4 turnovers. They are going to win ugly with AJ at QB. I am not bashing the kid. I think he has a chance to be a really decent NFL QB. He is nowhere near ready. WE will have to beat the Broncos the same way. I think we are headed to Round 3 Bengals/Steelers at PBS. We really need the 2 seed, gonna be real tough to get it.
December 21, 201510 yr AJ 9.1 per attempt which is phenomenal but it's skewed due to a few huge plays. Not the type of game I wanted to see before heading to Denver. I see the line moving way up from -3.5.
December 21, 201510 yr I don't see the negativity for the Bengals odds next week. Denvers offense picked on the worst secondary in the NFL in the 1st half (like the Bengals would have done with AD) and Brock crapped his pants in the 2nd half. The Broncos won't score against the Bengals, next week, the Bengals will struggle offensively too, but only because Denvers defense is so stout. Low scoring. 17-10 Cincy.
December 21, 201510 yr So from what i can gather from the update thread we didn't block well and beat a very :poop: niner team on the road, on the west coast, with our back up QB, and other top players out! I'll take the win and applaud it. Congrats to the defense forcing turnovers and getting 4 sacks on the day. Congrats to a former Bama QB getting a win in the nfl! Go Bengals!!!
December 21, 201510 yr Bengals always lay an egg in Denver it seems like. I don't expect this year to be any different. Bengals lose, Denver gets the bye and #2 seed, and the Bengals lose to the Steelers again in the 1st round of the playoffs. :isurrender::isurrender::isurrender:
December 21, 201510 yr It might not be what ESPN expected when they slotted Denver and Cincy for the MNF game, but it's going to have huge playoff implications. I have confidence in our team if healthy, excluding Dalton. They have shown that they are definitely beatable if our defense has a big game, maybe a few TO's.
