Just found out that the Highlands/Pulaski Co. game is at 3:00 in the Fort......maybe @Wireman & @ADopted ADmiral can get here early for this 3:00 matinee game and then we can still have plenty of time for dinner before the 7:00 night-cap.

Might want to ask Lloyd about the "passing is their weakness on defense".

 

Well if you have a QB that doesn't average 1+ INT a game and can actually hit an open target Danville will be fine passing. Honestly NCC's is pretty well balanced on D they don't really a glaring strength or weakness. They make great half time adjustments, but it is very hard to make adjustments to speed. This game should be very interesting.

Unless NCC has improved immensely since I watched them play BW I can't envision them as a 2a state finalist. Danville should win this handily.

Though against inferior competition since the first LCA game where he was off Dampier has lit it up. Has completed all but like six of his forty passes with no interceptions. All year he has been a good decision make with only four interceptions. He is really a good qb and with another year of growth should gets looks from some decent schools I believe.

From watching and playing. I would say that the 98 team was a really really good offensive team defense was just good. 99 was a pretty good team as well as the next few years. The one thing that I think this year may have on those teams is the overall defense. One thing I always said with exceptions of a few years is that the ads pass defense was suspect at times. To his credit that is the one thing that has really improved under Clevenger.

This is the best team Danville has had since the 2006 team and maybe be better than that team. This team can't be in consideration with any of the State Championship teams at Danville unless they can when it. They do have speed but not like the speed that was on those teams in the late 88's and early 90's teams. The biggest thing I've enjoyed watching this team do is play with passion. They really enjoy playing and play hard and are very fun to watch. First time in several years I've been able to say that about a Danville team. The credit for that goes to Coach Clevenger and his staff. Hope they keep it up. Its been fun to watch Danville playing at a high level again.

From someone who has seen the Ads beat up on his team twice this year I'm pulling for them to go all the way. It would be great for the District. From the 1st game we played against them to the last, they have only gotten better. Last weeks game was one of the most dominate performances I have seen. It was a humbling experience for the other side and I hope our boys take it as motivation to work hard in the off season. I think they have all the weapons to win not only this game but the state title. Good luck to Danville this Friday.
