I dont see Danville stopping Smith, NCC has been there done that, this is all new to Danville. Watching Smith's Hudl highlights he is the real deal.

Your wasting your time. Trying to drop even the least bit of football knowledge and logical on some of these cats is a complete loss. Yeah those are the only two games I have seen NCC in person. Go back and read ALL the posts by NCC fans have left on BGP that state "stupid penalties are killing us". Stats are what they are stats! Are you telling me that Smith had that more yards than stated? Yeah he went out in the 3rd quarter, maybe he was injured or maybe he was frustrated. He slammed the ball down a couple of times after he was stuffed. Lloyd didn't seem to have a problem stopping him...

 

I'll be the first to say that penalties have killed us in some of our games. I simply said that they haven't been a problem in quite a few games. Not saying he had more yards than stated. Just saying your judging the way the kid plays by one game. Since you've only watched the 2 NCC games, I'm just gonna say that you can't judge someone on what you see in 2 games. But let's hope that people like you keep doubting Smith, it only makes him stronger and more determined to prove people wrong and to quiet the haters.

Just watched the Lawrence Hudl video and he's the most aggressive DL with excellent explosiveness that I've seen in a very long time. Is he getting any looks from schools?

He has nothing else to prove to you or anyone else. The kid has already proven his abilities time and time again. Jacob Smith NewCath has 1,438 yards this year and 4,202 for his career, enough said.

Extra curricular penalties and fumbles cost them dearly in the Beechwood game. Hopefully the playoff switch was flipped and they keep their heads on right.

The only bitterness is from you and those like you who don't read the facts:

From the stats NCC provided the KHSAA Smith was 11 carries for 68 yards and 0 TDs. Lawnboy posted in game post (#58) that 1 run for Smith was for 54 yards. Simple public school math 68-54=14. So Smith had 14 yards on those other 10 carries for a titanic average of 1.4 per carry. So I would say it wasn't to difficult for him to be stopped...

 

Lloyd sold out to stop him. It also opened up other things, just as it did in the Holy Cross game. So, if your team is force to bring 8 to 9 in or near the box depending on NewCath's formation, then your coaching staff has validated his talent level. It is up to NewCath's passing game to take advantage of that. I don't see Danville selling out like that.

And who has Danville beaten? Corbin is their best win and is the best win for these two teams. The rest of the wins by both teams are comparable. The Lloyd wins are better than LCA wins.

That's what I'm saying. People are trashing Danville for their schedule. Well, NCC hasn't beaten anyone either so look in the mirror.
