Bevin says he will not release tax retuns as promised

Recommended Posts

Back to the subject of this thread: Why is our new Tea Party governor saying no to releasing his tax returns? Something to do with earning millions of dollars from his (legal) investments in for-profit private colleges that saddle returning veterans and unsuspecting students with tens of thousands of dollars in debt?

That would be a good guess.

Unsuspecting? If they didn't read the crap before signing it, who's at fault here? Good grief what has happened to personal responsibility.

You could replace your comment about Bevin and add public institutions and the federal government.

But I agree with BGC what happened to personal responsibility.

In time we'll find out whether our new Tea Party governor profited handsomely from predatory education, as some have alleged. "Personal responsibility" assumes that these non-accredited, for-profit "schools" fully disclosed the cost of a year's education up front. Dig into this story a bit, Bert, instead of offering up another serving of the "personal responsibility" cliche. In many cases, the students were duped.

Keep holding your breath that these stories are true or somehow matter while the democrat party in Kentucky slowly disappears.

Actually, I'm going to agree with you, Bash. You're likely on target about the demise of Kentucky Democratic Party. Cultural climate change is what's going on -- red states getting redder.

On the election night coverage on KET, Al Cross made a few references to the Southern red states as being the "Confederacy" of the "new Confederacy" and I suspect he was not being complimentary. Of course, that could just be Al.
