That is spot on. No discipline, no desire to win by coaching staff. Just a good ol boy network happy to have status of being coaches.

 

Agreed B.E. like many HS hire the youth league coach because he is best friends with somebody high up but won't rattle any cages. (status quo)

A long time assistant at East in multiple sports coach Vincent was hired because he had put in many years and was a dedicated staff member. An outstanding teacher and fine person he was not prepared to lead the football program as head coach. Thanks for your dedication coach, now it's time to move on!

 

With the proper hire this program will return to winning playoff games in short notice. The talent is coming. I still think Sander would be the first choice. I don't know who the administration will hire, but they are pleased with the list of applicants.

I remember seeing that. I was under that impression but after talking with a couple guys who are in the loop they said he was one of the interviews. Who knows??

Its quiet this year. I checked back just for this thread all the time last year. This year? Not really much of anything.

To be fair the violation was a grading ineligibility issue of a transfer student had nothing to do with recruiting. You can read the report its public knowledge and in the KHSAA and OEA report on the superintendent no evidence of recruiting was found. So honestly your statement isn't truthful

Tony Lewis has resigned at Henderson County according to Kevin Patton of the Henderson Gleaner. He is leaving for Crystal Rivers hs in Florida.

I don't have any idea about school support or money, but I feel 100% confident that the right person could win there. I'm not talking state or regional championships. But I think they could beat just about every team they schedule. They look like just about every 1A school in the state, as far as numbers go.

 

I'd love for someone to take that job and just run with it.

I thought the guy who came from Somerset in 2014 would/did do a good job, but then he left. They are in a district where they could be competitive, but it's been since the early '80s since they even sniffed success.
