No disrespect to the guys that were interviewed, but am I the only one that felt the listed candidates for Ballard weren't impressive. I thought the job was Farmer's by the way they slated the rest of the field for interviews.

 

The surprise for me is that they weren't impressed with Farmer either.

 

Do we really know who interviewed for the position? On here there was speculation that it was Farmer, King, Stallings of Moore, and a Westport coach. I have been told they only interviewed 3 people. So one or more of these names are wrong.

Farmer has had success at Doss.

King had the 11-2 season at Iroquois but no success at Valley.

Stallings has had two 3-7 seasons at Moore

Westport Coach... no idea

Honestly...probably not. If the districts still rotated probably so, but most successful coaches are probably going to stay away from this job. Just my opinion. It is a great teaching position, great school, but in terms of football I think it's just an average job with the other level of competition you play against

This theory never works though, kids are not stupid, they don't want to follow their middle school coach they want to move on to better, more experienced coaches. At least that is the case with the better athletes.

Edmonson's MS coach was also an assistant for the high school. A small school, such as Edmonson county, try their best to keep the same staff working with the middle school as they do the high school. As a fan and a former player for Edmonson I think this is a great hire for the team.

Crad Jaggers, Joe's youngest son..Josh's uncle and Marty's brother has applied at Valley. He made it to the 2nd round of interviews. All I know.

 

Crad was the HC at North Hardin from 08-11.
