This game always surprises me with the outcome. Whenever I think BW is head and shoulders better NCC wins big.

There was a stretch for a number of years that the team that lost the regular season game between these two won the state championship. I can't remember exactly how many years it was, maybe 6 or 7. Beechwood loses to NCC in the regular season game, Beechwood win state championship. NCC loses to Beechwood, NCC wins state championship. That is how competitive, and high quality these two programs have been.

Beechwood will have their hands full trying to stop Jacob Smith.

As NCC will have their hands full stopping Slusher, Stringer and Fieger and some Justice and Castleman thrown in for good measure.

I withhold my prediction until I see Lawerence on the field.

Going to be an exciting night in Ft. Mitchell, I think BW has too many weapons, NCC is well coached and they are tough kids so it will not be a walk in the park, but in the end BW prevails.....BW 31 NCC 14

I'm thinking #14 in red might handed the task. BW has good match ups at LB, two guys on the outside than can fly and a tough strong kid at MLB. Jacob is really good, but if any team at 1a/2a can match him on D it's BW.

As was stated. Beechwood has not played a meaningful snap since the CCH loss. I believe Beechwood has enough weapons to win the game and think it will be close. The Breds may be the team to punch them in the gut to wake them up early. The beechwood line needs to come ready for a war. Beechwood by a score.

NewCath has had a pension for costly turnovers deep in opposing territory...that may be the difference between playing for a Title and losing in the 2nd Round. Perfect game to work on that.

One factor of concern for Beechwood in this game is special teams play. Jacob Smith is a dangerous return man. I believe Beechwood has not punted a ball since September 18, 5 games ago. They did a good job on McGinness in the Cov Cath game, who is just as good as Smith on returns, but that was September 18. They will have to put in some extra work on special teams this week in practice.

Still say the 2000 Beechwood team was one of the best ever to not win a State Championship. And in the 17-14 loss to NCC 10 of NCC 17 points were courtesy of the NCC defense.
