What Obama's 8 years in office have taught me

Featured Replies

I'm saying that most of the guys I run with (10 or 12 guys) are retired teachers, ex-policemen, and a couple of factory workers. All in their late 60s to early 70s.

What they constantly spew about the President is unadulterated evil. They get red in the face, they quiver and shake. Almost to a man, they LOVE the Donald.

And they carry.

I have seen this, too, with women that I respected. President Obama hadn't been in office a month when I saw unadulterated HATRED in their face when they spoke of him. For a guy that "didn't have enough experience to be president" how could you already HATE him a month into his first term? It totally shocked me.

I do NOT talk politics with most people now (exceptions: @RTS and my dad) outside of BGP.

Color me...

...stunned.

Eight years ago today we elected Barack Obama.

I wish we could do that again today.

I'm gonna miss The Obama's, big time.

And he's Muslim. Don't forget that one...

And Bush did 9/11...people say crazy things about the President no matter what race or gender they are.

Do we all forget how often Bush was called dumb, stupid, etc?

And as much as old white guys hate the thought of a black man eating off White House china, they would prefer that black man over a white woman any day of the week.

Yeah, it's completely fine to judge all "old white guys". Are you Lena Dunhams dad?

I would vote for him over Clinton and Trump - no doubt.

^ One of the things that President Obama and Bush the second had going for him was that they were "good guys".

Neither of our two major-party candidates have that going for them.

Color doesn't mean crap. Do right by all the people. Run the country right. Bring us together and leave the racist on the outside. He didn't get the job done. He'll be judged on that alone by me, not his saline bag color.

Because "old white guys" are so darned put-upon in this country for so long.

So you agree that all old white men are racist and sexist but more sexist than racist?

Obama over 8 years did one thing that really effects me. Made it incredibly expensive to go to the doctor or hospital.

Obama has taught me that being POTUS sucks and isn't worth it.
