What Obama's 8 years in office have taught me

Very minimal impact for me...

Better pray you never have to be hospitalized or have surgery. My wife is having a procedure later this month and I had to pay $2200, before she could go in the building.

What would you have expected to pay if there was no AHCA?

Who knows I haven't seen a copay plan since my 20's. It would have been a percentage I assume. Now with the high deductibles they won't entertain anything until that figure is met.

Oh, you mean when those who acquired a useful degree, or learned a useful trade were rewarded with AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE by working and having reasonable health insurance?

OK, so they made you cut that check before you and your wife walked in the building? Didn't even bother to check her out before you signed it?

Obama's 8 years in office have taught me how to change the channel faster than I could before he was elected.

Many companies require deductible and copay payment before they will perform a planned surgery. This isn't necessarily new to Obamacare, but the size of many deductibles and copays have increased to the point that some people are delaying or even foregoing medical procedures.

Same here. Negligible.

What a truly dignified leader is like ...

That's about hilarious.

Well, his 8 years in office have taught me:

If I choose, because I didn't vote for the POTUS, I can deride all who did, I can call the POTUS vile, derisive names, and I can harass and harangue those who did vote for him.

If I choose, I can refuse to be a part of finding mutually beneficial solutions.

If I choose, I can be a miserable, angry person, blaming everyone but myself for anything and everything I don't like.

I choose, though, to be a happy person. I choose to work to better whatever I can for and with whomever I can. I will not complain, I'll just work hard to make my life, the lives of those I love, and the lives of those I encounter in need...better.

I choose to rid my life of those who are not respectful toward me or my beliefs. I choose to be aware of their thoughts, but I will not indulge them by arguing with them

In the end, I have the power to shape the next 4 years for myself. I can't change some things...I'll just have to roll with the punches. But...I've been in worse spots. I'll make it through this one.

So, the last 4 years have taught me what kind of citizen I DO want to be, by putting so many who are NOT want I want to be in my life.

That's what they project our out of pocket to be they are telling me. They said they will reimburse any difference. Today she went to the office for blood work and they put a new policy in $100 up front for anyone with a high deductible plan which is probably 2/3rds of the country.

About 18 months ago I paid $2,500 deductible for a heart exam and a umbilical hernia repair. A few years ago with my old insurance I would have paid very little. They wouldn't perform the hernia surgery until I did the heart tests, which had good results. Deductible on each procedure was $1,250.

Needless to say I liked my old plan a lot better. :isurrender:
