I'm not saying Ryle isn't a good team, or that they didn't attempt to make a strong schedule. I'm just making the point that their schedule thus far has not been as strong as the preseason prediction or as strong as Cooper's. Regardless of that, I think Ryle will win this game, but a Cooper victory would not surprise me.

 

Have to admit though, a certain Ryle poster is quickly outpacing a certain SK poster for most annoying/entertaining fan, and it almost makes me want to predict the other way.

If Cooper wins this game Friday night I would love to meet some of the Ryle people on here, like RaiderRailBird and Fear The Nation and shake your hands. It might be a strong dosage of humble pie and how to build a program with class. No need for the folks over here at Cooper to trash talk, we will go out Friday and do what we do and see what happens. By historical data our schedule was tough. I guess we just peered into our crystal ball and knew the floor would drop out on all the other teams. Has nothing to do with us. They didn't perform and we did. The games might have been a little closer but we would still be undefeated and still going to run the table in the regular season.

 

Its very simple. Cooper and Ryle honestly play many of the same teams. However the reason why people are talking about the schedule right now is, because currently Cooper is the best team Ryle has played so far this year. So while Ryle is 6 and 0 and Cooper is 4 and 2. Cooper is the best team Ryle has seen so far. While Cooper does have two losses, but a case could be made that both of those teams they lost to could be better than Ryle or at worst equal to Ryle. Meaning Cooper even though they have lost, have seen two other really good teams that are equal to or better than Ryle, while this is Ryle's toughest game they have played so far. I personally don't think the records mean anything or strength of schedule so far means anything when these two teams play this week. Ryle being 6 and 0 doesn't mean they will win, and Cooper playing a tougher schedule so far doesn't mean they will win. It is two good football teams playing night, and it could go either way.

Good point Redemption. Cooper is the best team Ryle has played. The two teams Cooper lost to are better than anyone Ryle has played. These two teams are pretty even. It should be a great game.

Does cooper have much of a passing game? I know they have a solid run game but just curious if they are pretty much one dimensional.

 

Nathan Brown had like 4 TD's and 300-400 yds passing in the nasty cold, rain last week. He is really getting it done for a 1st year QB. I'm a Ryle guy. I'm hoping for the best, but Cooper scares me quite a bit. It's gonna be hard to contain Hendrix. Brown has proven he can get the ball over the top to him. I want Ryle to win, but won't be surprised a bit if they don't. I'll leave it at this, whoever wins will deserve it.

As for who was asking, Coopers defense plays multiple coverages. Won't get anymore specific than that. It's one of the only defenses I have seen that looks like you can run right at it and it turns out you can't.

 

Ryle has fantastic talent at skill positions but I do have to say Hendrix is not the only WR who can make plays for Cooper. You have Michals, little Brown, Kuchar, Jackson, Hendrix. Then at RB you have TCA and Jackson. Very talented kids there.

 

This game has been close since I believe that 2011 game. I'm taking Cooper but that defense will have to come out ready to play as Morgan and co are a talent.

 

PS-If Ryle still does that online sportscast, I would try not belittle Cooper like it has in the past. Typically doesn't work out for you all.

We don't have Dixies defense. Not going to be that easy. Cooper has faced two good defenses and they have been shut down. Cooper will struggle offensively. Your defense will have to play the game of their life to win. Weather will be a factor. It will be interesting. Our Jv has played alot because of blowouts so the points against might be a little misleading.

Players on both teams have worked their rears off and will lay it on the line. The past means nothing. Great game for fans and fun for players in what looks like a wet track. Cooper and every team we have played and will play in the future has my respect, regardless of the outcome of a contest.

You guys are always crying wolf. Poor little Cooper, no one respects us. No one is degrading you. We've brought up our points and opinions. If you feel that not kissing your is disrespectful then that's your issues. We are confident that we will win, if we dont it's not the end of the world. If respect means telling you how great you are and that we will be lucky to even be in the game prior to kickoff then color me disrespectful.

We can talk about your weak points without it being disrespectful. That's what I mean by being girlie. I don't care about your feelings when it comes to football and this game. We believe we have a better team and scheme. Stop whining and we will see if we are wrong or you are.
