This is off calpreps it shows our schedule strength at 26.6. Also has us ahead of cooper in the power rankings. Our strength of schedule went down because the teams that normally win have tanked this year. Preseason our schedule was tougher by historical data. So don't blame us, blame HHS, Cov Cath, Lex-Cath, and Campbell for their product on the field. We were looking for good games and they should have been. Guess NKY isn't up to it this year. Preseason we were 26.6 now 8.6. guess that will change after Fri. Sure to go up:up: Post all the numbers not just the handpicked one to support your versions of the truth. Calpreps also picked us to win the district.

Over Hyped? I don't think so. Actually something that always bothers me about fans is the fact that they use excuses when talking about other teams.

 

I'm not talking soley about your post my friend, but every teams fans tend to do the same.

 

First off Ryle hasn't played all 6A schools

As they also haven't played great teams either. They are 6-0 and even in my rankings for the time being are #2 and Cooper #3 and that is because they are 6-0 and no other reason. You did however say that Cooper just throws the ball up and hopes Hendrix can make a play. Is that how you describe Ryles passing game? I mean seriously, I know you know the game better than that. When someone pushes your button there really isn't a reason to make comments like that that do nothing but belittle what a program has done this year. You are better than that. Don't belittle Cooper's offense with cracks like that, we won't do it to Ryle by saying something stupid like all Ryle can do is run 3 backs rotating because none of them can last an entire game. You know that would be a stupid statement to make also.

 

Now back to the competition. You do understand that it's ok to admit if another team has played a tougher schedule don't you? I mean in the end what does it matter? As long as your team ends up on top who cares if you played an easier schedule to get there? Cov Cath played a tougher schedule than us all. I don't see them up in here bragging how good they are.

 

Now this is directed to everyone in every fan base. Quit qualifying your teams greatness by trying to belittle your rivals wins by saying garbage like "You beat so and so without their QB" or "Without their RB" etc. who cares? Take the lex Cath game, wouldn't have made a difference at all. Every team has players hurt. If Cooper loses you won't hear me saying it was because TCA wasn't 100% etc. Cooper lost 2 games to teams that are pretty good and we aren't crying over it. Now when talkin about how great one team is and how bad our team is, people may need to cool their jets some and look at the powerful 6-0 team and the games they played. Lex Cath they were behind most of the game, I watched it on the stream which was HD and awesome I might add, the same team was shutout against Cooper. CCH has 1 win and just like the LC game Ryle only won by 7. So let's not talk about how great one team is compared to the other in this matchup Fri Night. It's no secret what Ryles secret is. It isn't that their defense is so great in the 2nd half which I've heard. That has nothing to do with it at all because the defense is the same. What their strength is is their 3 RBs wear down defenses and by the 2nd half is when they have exploited that. No big secret. Just fact.

 

So let's not belittle any team here. Both teams in Union are among the best in NKY and that is something to be proud of.

 

Ryle IS the better team, you'll find out on Friday when Cooper get's another L for the year.

What you've quoted is their preseason projection. Highlands and Dixie Heights are nowhere near that predicted strength currently.

Botton Line, Ryle is the better team, which ALL the Cooper fans are going to find out on Friday. Ryle=:thumb: Cooper=:cry:

If I were the Cooper D-Coordinator I would keep the safeties rolling by changing from Cover3 Cloud to Cover3 Sky. But this also depends on the athleticism of the Cooper LBs. Varying between these would give a Cover 2 look to Morgan getting him to put the ball in the middle of the field where there is a safety rolling to. Another coverage I like is the Cover 2 Man. Not many schools use this one but it can be very effective against a Deep Threat QB. Keeps the man to man coverage under with extra help over top.

 

But if its raining Friday shots downfield will be harder to come by and plays in the favor of Cooper

Ryle averaging over 45 points on offense and only giving up 17 on defense. Big game for Ryle and a win gives them home field advantage in the playoffs. A lot at stake Friday night. Ryle's defense will need to be great in the first half as they can't afford to get behind this team.

They didn't perform and we did. The games might have been a little closer but we would still be undefeated and still going to run the table in the regular season.

What is there to elaborate? The line is bigger all around, which I came to a conclusion of SIZE. Athleticism in Ashley, Bateman, Morgan, England, Chisholm, Long, Beagle... Is that enough or do I need to mention more?

 

I would like to hear more. Line really isn't bigger outside of Ross, and he is the same size as Coopers Sander Roksvag. Athleticism edge doesn't really favor Ryle either, as Cooper has just as many athletes as what you mentioned. which is why I would like for you to elaborate more.

 

If you think Ryle is going to win, that is cool with me. But to use size and athleticism when there is no clear advantage is not much of a reasoning for me.

If Cooper wins this game Friday night I would love to meet some of the Ryle people on here, like RaiderRailBird and Fear The Nation and shake your hands. It might be a strong dosage of humble pie and how to build a program with class. No need for the folks over here at Cooper to trash talk, we will go out Friday and do what we do and see what happens. We wont belittle Ryle, like their fans, coaches, and players have done to Cooper. That isn't how we roll. Good luck Friday to both teams on what will be an incredible football game between two of NKY's best teams.

Do they just stick with Cover 1 and Cover 4 then? Why no Cover 3? Especially in high school, it allows full field coverage while still allowing the Strong Safety to drop in the box to help with run support. Seems silly not to run.

I'm not saying Ryle isn't a good team, or that they didn't attempt to make a strong schedule. I'm just making the point that their schedule thus far has not been as strong as the preseason prediction or as strong as Cooper's. Regardless of that, I think Ryle will win this game, but a Cooper victory would not surprise me.

 

Have to admit though, a certain Ryle poster is quickly outpacing a certain SK poster for most annoying/entertaining fan, and it almost makes me want to predict the other way.
