So 4 + 2 = 6. Whether you personally can account for only 3 turnovers, they have had 6. And you can try to justify the turnovers all you want, I didn't see an asterisk next to any of them saying they don't count.

Again it's very clear you know nothing about the game of football, I'd bet anything you didn't even play high school football to begin with. I'll try and educate a little, because I know you don't understand the difference in a turnover. From your stand point a hail marry thrown 50 yards right before halftime into the end zone, is the same a an INT in the 4th quarter when your team is deep inside the others territory driving to when the game. This is exactly what you are saying, FYI, there NOT the same type of a turnover, guessing you still don't understand though, again PLEASE bring something to this message board, something, anything. :thumb::thumb:

They are on the books but if you think for one second that a last second hail mary at the end of a half or a jv qb throwing a pick in a blowout concerns us or give someone the advantage you are mistaken. How about the fact we have forced 12 to's? That means nothing only the six we lost even though we are +6 ? All teams turn the ball over occasionally. We dont have a to problem. We have a takeaway advantage.

So if any non starter gets time on Friday night, does that make him a JV player only, even if he is playing Varsity minutes. I always thought JV was on Saturday. On Friday night we call them 1's and 2's or 3's. Minutes on Friday night don't go in the JV book, but in the Varsity book, so let's just call them Varsity players that saw playing time....how bout that?

In gridiron football, a turnover occurs when the team with the ball loses possession of the ball without kicking it, which is then gained by the other team. In American football, the two events that are officially classified as "turnovers" are fumbles (accidental physical loss of a live ball a player has possession of) or interceptions (passes intended for a member of the passing team, but caught by a member of the opposing team).

In addition, the term "turnover" is often used to refer to a turnover on downs, when a team attempts to gain a first down or touchdown on a fourth down play (known as a fourth down conversion), but is unsuccessful. When this occurs, the opposing team automatically gains possession at the spot to which the ball was advanced at the end of the play, unless a penalty has occurred (every defensive penalty, if accepted, results either in an automatic first down or a replay of down). In this event, the team that has lost possession is not permitted an opportunity to advance the ball any further.

National Football League game statistics recording turnovers only include lost fumbles and intercepted passes; turnovers on downs are not included (e.g., a team whose only turnovers are turnovers on downs is credited with having "no turnovers").

I don't see it saying "don't count hail-mary plays". I'm just sayin!!

I see ignorance has found its way to South Union. Can you wanna be players or little kids (which ever one suits you) please get over your over hyped egos and let these boys (the actual players) decide the game outcome on Friday night. It's OK to make predictions, but when you start degrading a program or kids in a program, you fall to to the bottom of the barrel in respect from me. I can't stop laughing at some of the idiotic comments and excuses that come from a couple of you. It's like you're talking, but can't even hear what you're saying. Straight COMEDY!!!!

As there are kids on both teams that I have coached in the past, I just hope for competitive/healthy game with the better team on THIS Friday night being the victor.

I haven't seen any degrading of any players form either side, guessing your feelings are getting hurts because YOUR TEAM is having it's weakness talked about, FYI, this ain't soccer, it's AMERICAN Football.

1) I do know about football. You are correct though, I did not play. But I bet you didn't play pro football so you should stop posting in the NFL forum.

2) Show me where I said all turnovers are the same? Please seriously show me, I'll wait...

3) The question was asked to elaborate on where someone got 6 total turnovers for Ryle. I showed where the number 6 came from. I was answering a question and in the process demonstrated math skills.

4) See point 3. I've brought research and math skills to this board in addition to many countless things throughout the years. Just because I don't jump on board with your childish antics, doesn't mean I don't contribute to the site.

A turnover is a turnover. Some are more costly than others but other teams just throw it up on 3rd and long too. That's why they are all recorded as turnovers.

I don't know names so I'll just refer them as starting QB and back up. So your telling me that Cooper scored all their 28 point all in the 2nd qrt, all passing TD I believe with the back up QB???

I thought you were talking about their star RB who was hurt and taken out of the game. The QB didn't stay out long and when he was out we ran. The QB was only out 1 series that covered 2 passes. It's a 1st year QB so if you were afraid of Coopers QB, then you don't know much about Cooper at all. Again Cooper didn't miss much that series the QB was out.

Let me educate you, "When" isn't how you spell "Win"

I will continue your education and let you know that yes, a hail mary at the end of the first half that is intercepted in the endzone is the same as a an interception in the 4th qtr when your team is trying to "WIN" the game.

An interception is an interception period. That is why when yo look at stats they don't have *'s by some of the turnovers listed. Wow, and you say you know this game? :ohbrother:

I don't know how many series he was out but I know Cooper did not do anything while the back up was in and If the starting QB is his 1st year, then he's good... good enough to tear up LC db's.

^^ That's without their 2 starting O-line and their QB. So as a defensive coordinator, I will load the box to stop the run, which Cooper did an outstanding. And with a back up QB, they couldn't get their offense revved up. Just saying. Ryle played Lex Cath while in full strength and Cooper with tons of starter.... Important starters.

The same backup QB who passed for over 280 yards the game before

Can anyone with real knowledge tell me how Lex McGregor is doing, and how is Ryle using him?

He's good, still learning but is fun to watch. I was really impressed with LC's DB's actually. They just happened to meet Cooper on one of those nights that kids dream of playing in. Cooper has never looked that good on defense although their defense this year is pretty good. Just one of those things after getting beat by SK the week before they had something to prove to themselves and Lex Cath just happened to be the next team on the schedule. Lex Cath should be fine come playoffs. They have a very athletic team and should do good.

cooper and their QB's over the last 3 years have all been 1st time senior starting QB's. We go into the seasons not sure how they will do and they keep surprising us. take 2013, Will Ludwig replaced 3 year starter Tyler Morris and no one knew how it would go and he only broke all the school records for passing. Then he got hurt in the playoff game after leading by 21 or 24 or soemthing like that at halftime, the backup QB came in, Billy Prickett and proceeded to turn the ball over on 6 straight dirves, 2 fumbles and 4 INT's and we lost to Anderson County on their comeback. So we enter 2014 season with a big Question mark because Billy Pricket is now going to be the starting QB, after the playoff performance we had some big question marks on how he would play. He only then proceeded to lead the team to the State semi final game against Pulaski Co.

Then came this year, Nathan Brown a 1st time starting QB who is also a senior this year. A big question mark going into the season and he so far has played really well. So Coach Borchers puts something in the water and turns out some pretty good QB's that no one was expecting.

here is the difference between you and I, when i get on the NFL boards , I post a score, and that's about it, you on the other hand ALWAYS try to ride someone else's coat tails about anything. When you get called out, ALL you want to do is spout off stats, again PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring something, anything to the table, except coat tail riding. Are your sure you didn't play flounder in animal house, because that's what ALL of your post sound like.
