What Is Your Most Humiliating Moment

What has been your most humiliating moment in your life?

A few years ago I was taking an online class to finish up my masters. My girlfriend and I had gotten into a verbal fight one night. The next morning I was feeling a little guilty yet was still mad. So, I decided to send her an email expressing my love and somewhat threatening her. Lol The only problem was I sent it to my professor by accident. I didn't realize this until my professor sent it back to me stating that she didn't think the email was intended for her. It was a bit humiliating considering the contents of the email.

Only getting 3 points in the NKY football game last week.

There's been so many. I don't know where to start.

The longer we hang around, the truer this is.

I've purged most of them from my memory, in the interest of hanging onto what threads of sanity still remain.

I've had many but here's one:

When my son was small, he had a baseball game at Tom Braun Fields in Villa Hills. He came up at a crucial time and just needed to get the ball in the air or on the ground to get a run in. Unfortunately, he just stood there and looked at three right over the plate. He dejectedly came back to the bench where I was and I stooped down and asked him “what the heck were you thinking?” I didn’t yell, I didn’t act disappointed, just wanted to know if he was confused. Well, after a few more innings I was getting looks from some of the parents and just had no idea why. I figured they were all mad at me because my kid struck out at a crucial time. After the game I was talking to the coach and found out that one of the mothers complained I had used the “F” word with my son instead of the word ‘heck”. I told the coach that was not so, he believed me but said the story had filtered all through the crowd. I tried to talk to the lady who started the info but she just would not listen to me. She was one of those loud mouths who couldn’t have heard anything I said because she was always screaming. I was so embarrassed I watched the rest of his games that season from the car in the parking lot.

In college for one of my courses I was paired up in a team for a group presentation. We worked all semester on this presentation. We had to present in front of several faculty, students and clergy. Our team came up with the team name "Team Seeking Success" ( Cheesy I know). So I am nominated to be the opening speaker. I introduce myself and mean to say We are team seeking success.. Only I fumble my words and say We are team seeking some sex... The presentation quickly went down hill from there!

Near the top of the list was once when I lost a bet at work with the entire store and a Mohawk and Orange hair coloring was involved.

On a related note my 1st or 2nd grade daughter actually thought I was cool for the first time ever.

I have had so many myself, but each time I wake up.

Back in the mid 90's I worked for the state in several school districts in Northeaster KY. I was training staff on required material. I called a staff meeting at 7:00AM at Mason Co. MS, but I went to Lewis Co. MS. I showed up to Vanceburg and noticed there weren't enough cars and they should be there. Went inside the principal said I wasn't supposed to be there. I then realized i was supposed to be in Maysville. All the staff was there, but not me.

I felt terrible.

When I was teaching at Paris Middle School the 5th and 6th grade teachers took turns doing a newsletter for all the students to take home to their parents to keep them informed of the goings ons of the school. It was my turn to do the newsletter the week of Thanksgiving. So, I started the newsletter out at the very top in bold letter THANKSGIVEN. Three time state champion Coach Randy Reese was our head teacher. He was kind enough to point it out to everyone at our faculty meeting. Lol. He reminded me of my error several times afterwards. He got a kick out of it.

I once pooped my pants while calling plays during a frosh game. We actually took a delay of game after happened, I didn't even have time to tell the HC.

Great one! :dancingpa

There have been many. Two of my favorites are...

A judge once threw me out of a court room during a trial.

I also very narrowly avoided getting arrested for stealing my own car. After a campus wide search for me by Richmond PD and EKU police, and a bad scene at my dorm parking lot, I was saved at the last possible minute by a KSP trooper friend of mine.
