It was a good game,, I did not get there until the 2nd quarter but the Center/QB exchange for Cooper was their demise tonight. I think their quarterback had many miscues as well missing open receivers. As long as teams can make Cooper one dimensional and make them pass they may have success against the Jags.

The positive thing for Cooper is their Defense. If they can get the offense going, they will be a solid team come playoffs. My hat is off to SK,, they played a real good game tonight,, their only weakness would be their kicking game. It will be good to see how both teams progress and what type of match up it will be if they meet again in the playoffs.

I know its a little off topic but I did see Armstrong kid not dress tonight, what's the story on him?

Powell had under 100 yards

He had a really nice 23 yard td run.

When will teams figure out you cannot run wide against Cooper, their defensive alignment all but eliminates any chance of success.

Powells td run was a 23 yard run on the outside. Racke had some nice outside runs also.

Better than expected for Cooper, correct?

Congrats Neers, it is going to come down to the Ryle game to determine who is tops in NKY 6A.

I do not think it was that close of a game. So for me the answer is no.

Or was it off tackle and they kicked out the OLB? After going through the hole he went to the outside...I think I am remembering it right.

Either way it was 6 points.

Ryle has a very good Freshman kicker in Molique! Definitely will give Ryle a boost against SK if the kicking game becomes the determining factor in what should be a very good game.

Congrats Simon Kenton! Good win against a good team!

Nice win SK. Obviously need to fix the kicking problem fast. I would like to see the qb from cooper put a little more zip on his pass. Missed a few open receivers tonight throwing more of a lob. Pioneers get the W and keep on rolling.

I agree. He did not have the game Cooper needed from him tonight. Kid has a strong arm, he needs to trust his decisions, step into his throws, and fire the ball in there when his receivers have a step or two on the dbs'. By the way….that should have been a TD when the Cooper QB reached the ball across the goal line before any part of his body was down. Even heard that from an SK fan.

I was pretty close to that play. To me the ball hit the ground about a foot before the goaliine on the initial reach and it slid across while he was holding it. But it was pretty bang bang

Kincaid covered him like a blanket most the game. He had one big catch.

He had 5 catches. That blanket must have holes in it.

To me it looks like he is told who to throw it to and if that person is not open, he is kind of on his own. Doesn't appear to be a lot of certainty in his progression, if there is one.

In his defense, didn't seem like he had much time at all. It is hard to get comfortable when they come at you from all different angles and are relentlessly pursuing you everywhere.

Yes, he does have a strong arm. If he just had a little more swagger or confidence he would be even better and quicker on his decisions. I like him on roll outs, there you can have one read, if it's not there turn it on because he can fly.

Lots of potential and isn't this his first time playing Qb?

Targeted 11 times only 5 catches 69 yards one catch was a deep ball about 40 yards. 5'7 Kincaid played a great game.
