Simon Kenton 26 Cooper 7

I wasn't at the game, so I didn't see the game, but I have never looked at the stats of this game until this morning. Very interesting. for the SK fans claiming this was a blowout. Racke, who is a very good QB by all standards, and according to uk#1fan can toss the pigskiin around with the best of them, only had 1 more completion on the night compared to Nathan Brown for Cooper who has been said by many SK fans and others on here that he didn't look good at all.

Brown had 165 yards passing compared to 174 yards passing by Racke

As far as rushing goes. Dillon Powell only avg 3 yards a carry while Cooper's 3rd string rb averaged 4.8 yds a carry.

I just don't see the dominance that people were talking about when looking at the numbers. The fact that apparently a dropped pick 6 and a TD that wasn't called a TD was taken off the board, it sounds like to me the actual game was a lot closer than the score showed. Cooper only giving up 6 points in the 2nd half against a team averaging 50+ a game is pretty good if you ask me.

Just thought the stats were interesting is all.

Did you look at total yards from scrimmage by each team? That should clear some things up for you.

I am a little biased and disagree, but I would like to hear your reasoning behind that?

I think it was closer than the score showed. Two plays were the difference in this game for Cooper. A score before half time, and the pick 6 dropped and Cooper would have been winning. I know SK had some plays not go there way as well but I thought the game was pretty competitive with the exception of 1 quarter.

I'm with you Clutch, talked to several people there and it sounded as if it wasn't a total blowout, misreads and drops. Sounds as if Cooper beat themselves somewhat and not having their go to kid, tca, was a struggle.

Interesting.

I admire your dedication, but I can't say I admire how you express it.

At least seeing this gave me a chuckle.
