Towles is the man!

Big W for the Cats... those boys are bowl bound.

Kentucky and SC... two programs going in completely different directions.

As the announcers said, they didn't beat Bama or LSU tonight, but they are definitely going in the right direction. Only watched bits and pieces, but sounds like the defense saved this one for the Cats.

The old UK would have lost that game...

Both sides dominated the first half, offense went back to Lexington in the second and the D played bend don't break. Was enough

Great team play in the 1st half, followed by a crappy offensive plan in the 2nd half. Defense made some nice stops, holding SC to field goals, getting the pick at the end, etc.

Big win for the program.

I kept waiting on it, and it didn't come. The UK defense came up with the big play, and the Cats get the HUGE win.

GO BIG BLUE!!!!

First win outside of Lexington since 2011 with the 14-3 win over WKU in Nashville. First SEC road win since 2009.

Those two holding calls on first down on the first two drives of the second half really put UK in a bad spot...back to back 3 and outs really shifted the momentum. If UK loses I would point to those two penalties as the reason.

UK got very conservative in play calling the rest of the way.

There's nothing I hate more than when play calling goes from playing to win, to playing not to lose... Recipe for disaster most of the time. Keep your foot on the gas pedal at all times.

Shannon Dawson got REALLY conservative in the 2nd half with his play calls and that really hurt us. It caused our offense to stagnate and allowed USC to gain momentum after they had some success on offense.

Towles played very well this game and could have had more yards if not for some conservative play calls. The 1 interception he threw I don't put on him either as Dorian Baker should have caught the 1st pass of the game to prevent that and his pass was altered as he was throwing.

Our defense is the real MVP of the game though. Redeemed themselves from last week and really frustrated USC all night.
