Cats defense played as a unit. Maybe one or two stood out but I couldn't tell you who exactly. With that said UK's freshmen and sophomores are very talented.

Thought I saw him once.

One thing I thought was huge was Kentucky still getting stops twice after weak calls extended drives for South Carolina. The int that was negated by a roughing the passer penalty and the incompletion that was saved by a holding call. It's easy after those calls go against you to get frustrated and lose focus' date=' but the Cats kept fighting and still made big plays.[/quote']

 

Agreed. The holding call late in the game was a horrendous call.

The only thing I would have liked to have happened was at the end of the game they would have tried to score. Guess that would have put us on Spurrier level but I remember all those times he did that to UK. Would have been funny.

Baker is a great receiver and also a great target for Patrick. I would like to see him go down a little quicker when three defenders are draped all over him trying to strip the ball. He fights for every yard he can get, but it's not worth a fumble. Risk vs. reward.

Great win for the Cats and Stoops last night. Loved the draw play for Towles in the 4th quarter.

I didn't see the game last night but dvr'd it and am watching it now. I am only in the 2nd qtr with 5 mins left in the half and am real curious to see how the offense play calling got much different in the 2nd half that everyone is complaining about. I don't know how much conservative you can get than the 1st half. It's run run run run run run run pass run run etc.

 

I can't see how the play calling can get any more conservative than it is in the first half. Maybe the difference being they moved the ball on the ground much better in the first half.

Starting possessions 1st and 20 will cause you to become more conservative.

Just the opposite IMO, you would think they would have thrown the ball on 1st or 2nd down, nope they run it. Coach Dawson had to know that SC was going to sell out on the run in the second half. First drive no harm in seeing if you can still run it, but when you saw on first down how committed they were, how about a little play action on first or second down.

That's my point of my post. There wasn't any play action in the first half so why do peoe say the play calling

Changed in the 2nd half? Sounds like the same offense was ran in both Halves the only difference was apparently they didn't run it as good as they did first half.
