Arby's employee refuses to serve a Police Officer

Featured Replies

I'm going to open a whole can of worms.

First I agree that an apology and a reprimand are enough here BUT...

...if the employee had refused to serve a same sex couple would it be enough?

Nope. Sexual orientation is a protected class. Occupation isn't. With that said, if it had been a same sex couple, I'd be fine with simply firing the offending employee.

At least federally, I don't think sexual orientation is actually a protected class. Of course people are still allowed to, you know, treat others decently.

Every Cop and their family should boycott Arbys

Because that fixes problems.

Every Cop and their family should boycott Arbys

Why? It's not Arbys fault they hired an idiot. I'm sure they hire plenty of them, not knowing they are an idiot until the opportunity to be an idiot presents itself.

Typical modern conservative... Just looking for something to be offended by.

No it is not, just the delusional ones.

You forgot to mention left-wing hypocrisy.

Duplicate post

Smart moves by the manager and the CEO. The reason most restaurants cater to police is to make sure they are keeping an eye on your shop. Wouldn't want to offend the people protecting your business.

Agreed! Did I miss the reasoning of the kid refusing to serve her?

I'm sorry, but you are hired to do a job, the kid should be fired. IMO this is not something that will only need a reprimand. Not that I hope for anything bad to happen to the kid, but poetic justice would be that he is in a serious situation and needs the police, and she is the officer who shows up to help/save him.

This police officer is obviously trying to push an agenda. There are 3,400 other Arby's restaurants -- couldn't she have found another Arby's that will serve a police officer?

;)

(Slow clap) Nailed it...

You are so misguided it's funny at this point. :lol2:

If you want to rally people to boycott over the actions of a teenager that works at a fast food joint, have at it. Good luck finding folks to back you up on that.

I say we start the "French Fries Matter" rally

Maybe Cops are afraid they will get real Horsey Sauce on their sandwich if htrey go there.

Manager was fired; employee was disciplined.

"I need a Beef N Cheddar...... for a cop." And a liter of cola.

Manager was fired; employee was disciplined.

Don't know exactly what happened but that seems backwards to me.
