Typically, yes. Even practices... At least in the bigger public schools.

"Please remind your coaches that when Kenton County Schools are closed, there are to be no games, practices or activities."

I watched the Walton team play 75% of their games. Considering the enrollment at that place they have a really nice team. I'm not sure what they've done in post season tournaments. But, I know in the regular season they'd only lost one game. It was to a team they'd beaten three times already and they were "dis-interested" in playing.

I like their team. Big kid is a nice player.

I watch a lot of basketball at many different levels and I don't think I know of another middle school Big that shoots the 12-15 foot jumpers as accurate as him.

That Christmas tournament at Dayton has been a mess for a decade now. No way they couldn't play that thing over a long weekend and get it over with.

Boone County makes a decision on afternoon/evening activities later in the day - typically around 1pm. That said, in most of my experience, if school is canceled, they usually cancel evening activities are as well.

8th grade Question-

Does anyone know how Newport or Tichenor had faired in Small district play. I realize that Newport lost there star player but would still think they'd be fairing okay..?

WOW. Congrats to Coach K and the boys.

Conner 6th and 7th win at IHM tonight. 7th grade was a very close game with IHM leading by 5 going into the 4th. IHM got into foul trouble and one of their bigs fouled out which allowed Conner to get into the lane and score easy buckets.

 

These two should meet again in February to decide who represents the West Region for the 7th grade.
