No way man, you're younger than I am and I plan at least another 30 years of arguing! By then we won't even need keyboards, we'll just think our posts into existence. Of course doing it that way will lead to even more confusion than there is now!

Ewwww how dangerous would that be if whatever we were thinking would be posted.

Ewwww how dangerous would that be if whatever we were thinking would be posted.

Guru would make a killing by letting people buy their way off suspension. I'd have to set up a tab with him.

All my Highlands friends do realize that I'm hoping Highlands goes 9-0 the rest of the regular season right? It would make Friday's win even sweeter. Now if you lose to SK I may have to hunt you all down like a rabid dog.

No Pressure.

Never once did I say fire the coach. However I did say I have seen the last 2 games and I see a lot of talent just sitting on the bench doing nothing. But watch the JV game and boom they have what it takes. That is all I have said. My son does play football but you can not tell me and believe it yourself that if your son is on the team he isn't worried about the talent. I have nothing but respect for the coaches and teams however just a little opening for the JV may do our the team a world of

good . And I may be wrong who knows. It's very frustrating sitting and watching a team lose when you know they can and will do much better in the season coming forth

It is very frustrating sitting here day after day reading this nonsense. Do you know how many games these older kids that you speak of have lost over their careers and you want to try and tell us that 10th graders that have not taken one snap of Varsity football are going to do better? I really really hope that you are not a Highlands fan and just someone that likes to stir the pot because if you truly are, it will only be a matter of time before the hammer drops.

Very few if any 10th graders get to play at Highlands on the Varsity level and it has been that way for years. I played on a team as a frosh that went undefeated and unscored upon at Highlands, how many of those guys you think started the next year as 10th graders? I will tell you, none.

This program has been going on for 100 years strong and many many families have played through the generations and you are either willing to accept that and wait your turn or go somewhere else where they will bow down to your wims and play 11 games every year and go home.

Done on this topic as it is time to move on because Rome was not built in a day and there is work to be done and you are either on board the bus or you can simply choose to get off.

Ugh

1. Defensive alignment. LBs not playing end man on LOS crooectly. If he blocks down, you must squeeze him to prevent the cut back or to take on a trap. HHS' got up field way too far and allowed easy cut backs. From the stands, I heard Coach Jones yelling about this multiple times.

2. DBs turning open to receivers incredibly slowly or in the wrong direction. I understand 27 is The team's best athlete and a senior leader, but he should not be pulled off the field and replaced (multiple times) by a sophomore because coaches are yelling at him for alignment and opening to wrong receivers.

3. Poor tackling. Too many arm tackles and people not bringing their feet to make a tackle. The only one on the field that stuck someone was 54 and 10; one of which should never have to make as many tackles as he did as a safety.

Those are three obvious things I picked up from being in the stands and re watching the game on TV when it was on replay. The good thing? They're all correctable. However, for someone who claims to bleed blue and wants to see the team be successful, you seem to be solely putting the blame on the offense for this loss. Could they have played better on O? Yes! But football is a team game 100% and all of your posts have basically said "the defensive side of the ball did nothing wrong, it was the offense". No clue who you are, but my guess is little Johnny plays D... Time to stop taking things so personal and take the blinders off.

He does...

WOW!!!!!!

When I played for Highlands, the stuff that is being posted on this thread would have never been tolerated ( actually computers and internet really were not around) so if you people are so inclined, talk to the coaches in person, like the ol'days... See where that gets u!

It is 1 loss to a good team. Everyone is in line to throw the next person under the bus. The only say in how all this goes down, is te coaches. Everything else is a DISTRACTION!!!! These kids have a game to prepare for. So GROW up and let the powers that be take care of it.

Go Cooper

Go Highlands

Unfortunately it is the sign of the times. The Internet is where many like to critique and hide behind a username. Back in your day the same crap went on but it happened at after game parties and up at the Pub.

He does...

Pot meet kettle. You take things as personal as anybody. Were you not the one that got on these airwaves complaining about CovCath banners? Nuff said.

Take nothing personal except when people chime in about nothing they know and act like their kid and everybody around them are precious little do-gooders.

I just thought of something, Cooper holds a winning record versus Highlands. Does any other NKY team have that distinction? Anyone, anyone, Bueller, anyone?

All my Highlands friends do realize that I'm hoping Highlands goes 9-0 the rest of the regular season right? It would make Friday's win even sweeter. Now if you lose to SK I may have to hunt you all down like a rabid dog.

8-1 please...

I think Orange Leaf would make a great title sponsor of the NKY Power Rankings.

If a defense gets 37 hung on them people are entitled to form an opinion about the lack of defense without getting their heads chewed off. I understands it's highlands and we are not suppose to be able to have the discussion, but we are. And yes I think there are more lessons in the game than win at all cost. It's called the game of life for a reason. It's a private to play it and the young men who do should be held to a higher standard. If not we are doing a diservice to them as adults.
