This game will be played as part of the Little Caesars Fort Harrod Bowl at Mercer County on Saturday, August 22.

I agree with you Lex. I think this could come down to the last possesion. Definitely don't see a blowout.

I just have this feeling that Central Hardin is a bit of a sleeping giant and Boyle is a little further away from the finished product that some of their fans may be hoping for.

 

Don't see this one getting lopsided, but wouldn't be surprised to see Central Hardin win this one decisively.

This should be a great game. I think Central Hardin is better than their ranking. I'll take Central Hardin by 10.

Though there are two other classes in between these two teams this should be a good contenst. Its almost a home game for Boyle County with the game in neighboring Mercer County.

 

These two teams were 23 - 3 last year both losing the Reigional finals. Both teams want to be playing in December this year and both could be doing just that.

 

Chuck Smith has a senior heavy team lead by Josiah Robbins. During the off-season the Rebels worked on team speed according to Smith. This is a game that should let him know where the Rebel stand with that goal.

 

Lets give CH the edge by around a touchdown. If the Rebels do win this one against a serious 6A contentender in the first week - look out- season 2.2 for Chuck Smith could be one with another State Championship.

Central Hardin could pose a problem with its size and speed. Great matchup of Centrals ground and pound wing T with bruiser 6'1" 210 Xavier Arnette and speedster Darius Barbour as well as Gavin Krupinski, who brings an attitude to their run game vs Boyle County's defense. Central also has some big tight ends that they can utilize in Shane Oberdorf at 6'3" 205 and Seth Bryan at 6'1" 215.

Tim Mattingly is in his second season as head coach, coming over from Meade County. He definitely brings an edge to the team and always had a top rated defense while at Meade County.

I haven't seen this 2015 version of Boyle County play, but a common opponent for both teams last year was Bullitt East. Both teams beat them by 1 touchdown. This should be a tough, hard fought game. I think that Central Hardin can go 2 deep at most positions without a big drop off in talent and could wear down Boyle County in the 4th quarter.
