Good deal. I guess it's a good thing we aren't playing the 2011 and 2012 John Hardin teams.

Sounds like it has the potential to be a great match up.

Did i step on your toes? You are awfully confident in your team which is fine, I hope to see a great game and if Cetral wins i will be one of the first to say congrats. I want my team to win but it isn't the end of the world if they don't. But when things don't always go the way some think it will they find a hole to run into and not come back. You are the one making bold remarks.

Just responding to inaccurate posts (Cant remember the last time Boyle lost to a running team), not that long ago that John took them to the woodshed in consecutive years (2011-12)

I will be easy to spot at the game, the one with the air horns. Love to talk football and would love to meet with some Boyle County fans to discuss this game.

What is inaccurate about me not remembering when the last time Boyle lost to a running team? Not only was I not at either of those games, I couldn't even find any BGP threads on those games to get a recap to jar my memory. Is it okay for me to have a hazy memory about details of games from 3-4 years ago? :lol2: :lol2:

 

What can you tell me about those games since you remember so much about them? How many pass attempts did John Hardin have in those games? That makes a difference. You know what else makes a difference? How good were those Boyle County teams from 3-4 years ago? Neither of those teams were perceived to be as good as this year's team and if you have to go back more than a year or two to find a ground and pound team that defeated Boyle County then I feel even better about Saturday night.

I dont know if other teams beat Boyle County running the football, I do know my Hardin County teams. The premise was that NOBODY can beat Boyle County being one dimensional IE (wing T offense), I can guarantee you that John had more running yards than passing based on Coach Browns philosopy on how to run the wing T. I cannot guarantee a victory, but I can base my opinions on being around this program this summer that they are on a journey to play in December and have the right coaches and players to make a good run. Being in class 6A, you eventually have to go through the big 3, Trinity, Male or X and that is a tall order. I think i am realistic about what this team can achieve and can see at least 1 loss during the regular season and its not this weekend (Bowling Green).

Traditionally running teams don't defeat Boyle County. Especially with Jeff Hester running the defense. You named two teams. They very well could be the only two primarily running teams to defeat Boyle since Mercer County in 2006 or Bell County in 2008 and in 2008 it was Bell County passing the ball that played a part in defeating Boyle. The teams that have given Boyle the most trouble traditionally are teams that can efficiently move the ball through the air. Boyle County fans aren't going to be scared of a team that throws the ball less than 15 times. That's just the way we are wired.

 

We've watched some damn good RBs on running teams meet their demise against some seemingly outmatched Rebel defenses. The list of names that lost to Boyle County is impressive. Kelvin Turner, Joe Casey, JJ Jude. That's just off the top of my head. We've been spoiled by dominant defenses that can stop the run.

I was there for both those John Hardin games. I remember them well too.
