bugatti
Is this just me, but why do we always say "IMO" (in my opinion) when we so often post? Isn't the very nature of your post confirming it is you own opinion? If it is not, it should be cited as such. Am I missing something about this? Just one of those things that popped in to my head a few weeks ago. Edited July 29, 2015 by bugatti
Randy Parker
I say it a lot, but I don't know why. You ask a good question.
CincySportsFan
Can't speak for anyone else, but I'm guessing when I use it it's more for an "eye test" (versus a "stats-backed") type of statement/post. I may not necessarily have any "proof", just more of a "belief".

Pretty much this...I use to sometimes say that's how I see it even though others may see it another way without controversy or calling others out for their belief. woodsrider
It seems when someone posts something without using IMO, it comes off as they are trying to state a fact. I think using using IMO ensures the post/comment is taken in the correct context.
TheDeuce
I say it because there are some that try to paint the picture we are stating our opinions as fact, when in reality we aren't.
TAC
I hate when some one says. "Let me be honest with you. " Oh! So you normally lie to me.

MJAlltheWay24
I'd imagine that it's a way to go ahead and stop someone from arguing against you. Like, "look I know it might not be right but its my opinion".
MJAlltheWay24
I hate when some one says. "Let me be honest with you. " Oh! So you normally lie to me. I do that far too often. Not on here, but in just regular conversation.
gametime
I'm going to start using "IRO" or "In Randy's Opinion" before making crazy statements...
