I get it.... I did think that Wolfzorn probably kept too many Sr's on last year's team. I don't know if that was because the underclassman were not good enough to play up and get experience or if he just wanted competetive practices.

Maybe Ryan Schrand can throw his name into the mix and keep the Merry-Go-Round going over in Bellevue. He seems to be cut from the same mold as at least 2 of there last 3 coaches. I understand he may have some free time this coming winter.

To each there own but IMO he would just be another guy looking to move on after a year or 2 and the Bellevue kids don't deserve anymore of that.

I agree with you to a point but didn't most of them get into this to be educators 1st and then coaches. Why doesn't a guy want to stay in a small school and a small community. They don't all leave looking for money because you take a school such as Ludlow and their pay scale ranks among the best in NKY. I know I'm living in the past but give me a guy like Swauger or Steidel who have a strong attachment to the school and the community anyday over some hotshot para-professional. And that is not a knock against para-professionals because in Ludlow we have a very good one as the the head coach of our girls program, but he graduated from Ludlow and maintains close contact with his girls and their teachers. Most just want to come coach a sport and not worry about any of the day to day stuff that goes on in the school.

Unfortunatley you are living in the past. At Highlands Middle school 3 of the 4 basketball jobs were open. not one was filled by a school employee. No one applied (as far as I know). Those jobs had to be filled by paraprofessionals.

Yea I know I'm living in the past but sometimes the past isn't so bad now is it. If you can't get a teacher to coach at Highlands then how can other schools expect to fill coaching positions. It use to be that when you hired teachers each year they were also told that they would be coaching one sport or another. Now they teach and head home. Not all but most.

I beleive that is what other schools in the conference have been doing as of late (Ludlow,Dayton, etc. etc)
