If you can find a place to park, if you don't mind standing in line forever to get a ticket, if you can get to the bleachers without a sixth grader running into you in the corner of the endzone, if your not interested in concessions or going to the restroom, and if you don't mind getting up close and personal with cheerleaders and the visiting team, there is no better place to watch a game than DCM. Even if you sit in the back row, you are right on top of the field. I'm not a big fan of these beautiful new stadiums with the eight lane track around them and then another twenty yards to the first row of seats.

Of course I'm biased, but gimmie Rash Stadium all day, every day. I love the old-school feel and the fact that there's no track around the stadium. You're literally right on top of the action on either side. Last year, the school installed end zone seats which is where the OHS students and band sit. There are concessions on both sides of the stadium. The only thing really lacking is enough bathrooms, but other than that, it's great. The field turf that was installed in 2006 has held up great. Only OHS football games are played on it which helps the longevity of the turf. Rash Stadium has seen it's share of great games over the years and is sure to see many more.

I have read through this and those claiming their candidates as the best and indeed are awesome facilities. I have seen first hand most if not all of them while pushing through those communities in route to the State Championship.

 

Because I am a diehard Highlands fan, nothing reeks more of Tradition and Winning than that of DCM which houses the 2nd most winningest football program in the Nation and the most storied program in KY #1 in KY

 

If you have never been there then you have not seen the most intimidating and home field advantage venue in this great state of KY...JMO: :thumb:

Try the Fort or the swim club. Plenty of parking there.

Scott County plays at Georgetown College and that's a really nice venue for a high school team. Doesn't really count though because its not theirs.

Me too... I had never actually seen Owensboro's stadium before until this thread.. looks like a really cool venue and I love them mix of old and new.

 

In particular I am a big fan of the long visitor stands and how the trees cast shade over them. Seems like a great venue to host a late Summer Bowl Game.
