June 6, 201511 yr Darn. I'm going to the game on Monday night. I was hoping to see you. Sorry @nkypete, hopefully next time. I don't like missing games because I was the top vendor in sales last year and I wanted to repeat. I think I can still do it, but I hate missing games and wonder how much I could have sold haha! I admit, I have an addiction.
June 6, 201511 yr Cubs have done it every game this season. Why manager Joe Maddon bats the pitcher eighth in the Chicago Cubs' lineup I knew Maddon did it some (and Larussa did as well sometimes in the past). I did not know the Cubs did it every game though. Interesting article. Thanks for posting. I still hate it. Better hitter should get more opportunities than worst hitter IMO.

June 6, 201511 yr I really like the fact that the Reds this year don't play station-to-station like with the "toothpick" but come on know when to try to steal a base! Running with 2 outs and the pitcher up with anyone not named Hamilton is stupid. Phillips and Votto did the same thing last night from 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs to end an inning.

I am not a fan of the pitcher batting 8th, but if Billy Hamilton is going to hit 8th, then I am a huge fan of the pitcher batting 8th and moving Hamilton to 9th.
June 6, 201511 yr Reds just blew a 6-1 and a 7-3 lead as Matheus fills the bases with two out and no one one and then Cingari gives up a slam to Alonso. That is only fitting since the Reds lack of offense and a guy they traded for pitching get three hits and a slam and ties the game. I don't blame Price, these guys are losers. Relievers can't throw strikes every game. two of the guys on base were walked. If you can't throw strikes they should not be in the majors.
June 6, 201511 yr Next point is just like Chapman, if these relievers don't realize that major league hitters can hit 100 mph fast balls, they are going to continue to give up killer Home Runs. He fouled about three straight fast balls back and he just kept throwing them until he got one around the letters and it landed in the first row. You have to put a wrinkle in it every once in a while but it tough to do when you can't throw strikes.
June 7, 201511 yr I would like to see Price gone by the break, start the 2nd half with a new skipper. I am usually not an advocate at all of firing a manager during the season but this time it may be warranted. That's jmo.

I agree, am pretty down on Price (actually would like him out) but I will give him that.

There are a lot of unwritten rules of baseball like this one and this Reds team breaks many of them if not all. Their baseball IQ is very just non-existent. And that is not only on Price because it was that way under Dusty. That is on the players.
June 7, 201511 yr Jumbo has a great strikeout to walk ratio and his stuff is great but his ERA is horrible and he can't locate. I don't mind bringing up Adcock, he actually has above average stuff and some ML experience and I was wondering when they might give him a shot. However, I think it would've made more sense to bring up Adcock for Villareal rather than Jumbo. Matt Magill released to make room for Adcock. He was the player recieved from the Dodgers in the Heisey trade.
