Nobody ever doubted Jordan!

 

Jordan was never in the Finals with Rodman and Pippen out for the whole series either!

All I keep seeing is that Lebron is shooting too much. Cavs can't win with him playing Kobe.

 

If he or Shumpert makes the shot at the end of regulation then the Cavs win the game and the whole conversation changes. Hell, Kyrie ain't hurt if that shot goes in. One missed shot is all it took for the sky to start falling down? I ain't buying that.

 

JR Smith was 3-13 and made nothing in the second half. The Cavs also had 13 offensive rebounds and were 1-11 on second chance shots. Lebron took 38 shots and made 18 of them. One made basket away from 50%.

 

If the game plan is to let Lebron score whatever then the Warriors better be careful. They are just one loose ball away from Dellavadova drastically changing the face of this series.

Lebron needs to get some calls. Officiating down the stretch last night was shaky at best. He was hacked on several plays and didn't get a call. He went with the jump shot too often, maybe because he knew he'd be assaulted if he drove.

Dellavadova was the star of the game, IMO. He played fantastic defense on Curry.

I watched the game last night and James is no where near Jordans level.

Jordan would have shot 40 free throws last night.

I literally feel like he's going to have to average a high Triple Double if Irving is out (sure doesn't look good). He's going to have to play out of the high post more. When Cleveland went Iso in the 2nd half, there was NO MOVEMENT off of the ball. If LeBron didn't make the shot, then they struggled. When he was more active on offense the whole team moved it well. The big Russian could be a match-up issue for Bogut with his athleticism off of the ball. But really...Golden State played about as bad for a quarter and a half as they could and the Cavs couldn't have played better, yet they couldn't steal it.

The player that hasn't been mentioned that should be in this conversation is Oscar. As I watch LeBron in this finals,it looks to me like he is playing just like Oscar did. I never saw Oscar, but the way LeBron is playing is how I always envisioned Oscar playing

Why do people never mention Wilt in these discussions of best ever? Dude averaged 50 per game one year...50!!! Nobody else even close. He averaged over 20 rebounds a game numerous times and I believe he lead the league in assists one year...just to show he could. I know he only won one title (I think) because of those darn Celtics but if you look at the NBA record book...you see his name A LOT...

Why do people never mention Wilt in these discussions of best ever? Dude averaged 50 per game one year...50!!! Nobody else even close. He averaged over 20 rebounds a game numerous times and I believe he lead the league in assists one year...just to show he could. I know he only won one title (I think) because of those darn Celtics but if you look at the NBA record book...you see his name A LOT...

 

I don't believe anyone will ever surpass Wilt as the most dominant player ever. A lot of that probably has to do with the era in which he played, but still, the guy could not be stopped.

 

Having said that, most dominant and best overall are two different things in my opinion.

I think his problems getting around Russell's Celtics teams have a lot to do with the way Wilt is remembered. A lot of NBA folks are obsessed with how many titles a player has won as the measure of greatness and unfortunately for Chamberlain, he was only able to get past the Russell Celtics one time: the year Auerbach retired and Russell took over as player/coach. If I remember correctly, it was the only year in Bill Russell's entire playing career that he failed to make the NBA Finals.
