I am interested as well. I am particularly interested if this is a financially motivated action by the BCSD. If it is, I believe it speaks to financial commitment to athletics. The fact that 3 of these schools still play on dirt fields tends to support this hypothesis.

Certainly what it looks like isn't it? Borchers expressed his "concern" for a Louisville school having to play a school from their own district in the first round but assuming the 6A NKY schools play each other during the season then they will be playing a team for the 2nd time in the playoffs. Of course with the way some 6A schools up there avoid playing other 6A schools in the regular season maybe that won't be a problem.

 

It looks even deeper than that but I am not ready to speculate on Borchers state of mind just yet.

Someone from Cooper suggested the new tournament alignment? I thought that was the sole work of the KHSAA. Oh, how cunningly did the serpent conceal itself.

 

Now I'm wondering if Muhlenberg County was given the chance to move down or if they skipped directly to Fern Creek and Oldham County. After all for the new format to work they needed to reduce Louisville from 12 6A schools to 10.

because they drop from 4th best 6A team in NKY to 6th best. I mean, why else would anyone be upset? It's the only thing that makes sense to me since the others refuse to answer the question.
