Supposedly Votto went to the umpire's room after the game and they let him in and he apologized. As bad a move that Votto made in bumping the umpire, he has been that good after the game in interviews and in apologizing to the umpire. I think he will get one or two games.

 

I have a big problem with Price for (1) not stopping Votto and (2) not getting thrown out himself. Apparently he gets more mad at sports writers doing their jobs than at an umpire who threw out his best player for absolutely no good reason.

Gregg comes in and again gives up several runs and put the game out of reach. Why does Price put him in a close game? Why do the Reds still have him on the roster? Pitiful!

My wife and I just laughed when they showed Gregg and Diaz warming up in the pen in the 8th inning. How do you put Gregg in a close game when Cingrani is rested? Bring back Dusty...and I was not a Dusty fan...

How big does the sample size need to be? Three months? A year? I'll say it,,bring Dusty back.

I really have no idea how Gregg can still be on the team. He may be the worst relief pitcher I have ever seen.

I wonder what the Reds players think of Price right now. If you are a player on that team and you see your manager put the worst pitcher on the team (without a doubt) in a one run game in the 8th inning when the starter the night before went 8 innings (ie: bullpen pretty well rested), what are you thinking? You have to think some of them are wondering what the heck is Price doing.

I'm ticked Schumaker pinch hit with runners on 1st and 3rd with one out. If Meso is your number one bat off the bench at least use him in an important situation. Instead of tying the game up, Schumaker struck out.

Price is an absolute clown for putting Gregg into any game that is within 4 runs either way. Simply no excuse to keep doing it over and over. He needs to be fired.

But Meso got to hit in the 9th down 4 runs. So that's totally worth playing that way for a month.

He uses the book Dusty left for him. You must use a LH bat against a RH pitcher even if the RH bat is better in such situations.

You've got a guy in Mesoraco, who's only on the active roster to PH, so naturally when you're down 1 in the 7th with runners at 1st & 3rd with one out, you use Schumaker to PH....Bryan Price is a donkey clown. Guy has no clue what's going on.

 

Kevin Gregg, again? At what point do you realize the guy couldn't pitch effectively in rookie ball? Stop running him out there. Walt and Price, I think one's just as clueless as the other.
