2 straight days playing 2 down, 24 straight playing a man down.

Surely even @Voice of Reason doesn't agree with having 2 bench spots wasted, do they?

Fixed that for you.

Heard on the radio last night that Meso would DH during the interleague games then go on the DL for the year

Would be nice if Meso would take the bat off his shoulders when he does pinch hit, it seems like he has walked every time he pinch hits

Nothing wrong with walking every single AB

This game is over, turn on something else. Had men on second and third and no outs against Pirates best pitcher and fail to score. Votto does not swing at a fast ball right down the middle and then check swings a tapper back to the mound. Frazier strikes out on a pitch a foot out side and Phillips grounds out. Frazier just cannot put the bat on the ball with a man on third and less than two outs. Reds won' score now. On to Survivor!

Votto is just plain stupid. He gets ejected, and also bumped the umpire, knowing the Reds are already playing 2 players short.

Does this bring an automatic suspension?

Bumping the umpire was stupid but what did he do that warranted an ejection? The home plate umpire is an idiot. Votto was mad at himself for swinging and missing a pitch.

yep

How does Price not get ejected? His best player gets ejected for THAT and he does not get ejected too defending him? I like Price less and less every day. Why do I even waste my time watching this mess:)??

Frazier might take some awkward swings but the ball jumps off his bat.

The Reds promoted reliever Zack Weiss to Pensacola today. He's been dominant this year so far. In Daytona he didn’t allow a run, only allowed two hits and a walk in 11.2 innings pitched and struck out 22 of the 37 batters he faced.

Sounds like a promising reliever. How old is he, and is he a lefty or righty?

22 years old. 6'3, Right hander. The Reds 6th round pick in 2013 out of UCLA. Pitched 63 innings last year in Dayton with 80 K's and a 2.42 ERA.

The Reds might just fast track him given the poor performances by the pen.

You know looking back at Chapman last night I think he had to set some sort of record for 1 inning.

30 pitches of which 15 were strikes and 15 were balls. 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. So the 3 walks took 12 balls and the final batter had 3 balls. So that has to tie a record some sort of record for one inning without allowing a run doesn't it?

No one hit a fair ball in 30 pitches.
