Reds @ Brewers series (4/20- 4/23/15)

Maybe I just shouldn't watch games. Was too busy the first series of the season to watch and they won all three. In Colorado now and haven't seen a second of the last two.

If I were Walt I'd part ways with Gregg, Badenhop, and Marquis.

Call up Lorenzen, Iglesias, and Villarreal.

It's a shame Joey Votto is washed up.

Once he gets that rust off from missing spring training, he should have a good year. And if he could become mentally stronger and start swinging at balls, look out.

Would those guys even find work anywhere else?

Very unlikely. Maybe Badenhop.

Yeah, still can't believe he's so mentally weak he missed the first week of ST games. Bum.

Did you see him swing at that high outside pitch and foul it off, when they unintentionally-intentionally walked him last night before the grand slam. He was actually smiling as he swung at it. I just thought it was funny.

Obviously parting ways with Gregg is a no brainer. Badenhop was solid last year in the AL which is a tough league to pitch in but he has last 3-4 mph in velocity and it is killing him. As sad as it is he was a pretty big free agent acquisition for Reds standards and a surprise not many seen coming. I'd give him a while longer. Marquis could be useful in the pen as the long man.

Id give it another month to see if anything has changed and if it hasn't I'd make moves. Iglesias could use a few more starts in AAA anyways, if he's brought up he goes to the rotation and Marquis to the pen in my opinion. Lorenzen for Badenhop and maybe someone for Hoover as well.

Either one of those, and if you wanted to keep one in Louisville to keep pitching as a starter then get Dylan Axelrod up here. He was impressive in his time with the Reds late last year, and has pitched extremely well in Louisville so far this year.

Forgot about Axelrod. He'd be a better option than Marquis as well IMO.

I'd give Marquis a shot in the pen. I'm not ready to give up on Badenhop. Gregg has no business on an MLB roster.

So with Cueto on the hill tonight I'll set the Over/Under on Reds runs at 1.5...

I'll take the under

I honestly cannot believe Marquis is still pitching for you guys... During his prime he was average with STL.

I really have no idea what Walt is thinking with some of these guys this year.
