April 22, 201511 yr It's a shame Joey Votto is washed up. I'll admit going into this year I had my reservations because going into last year I went all in on him. Just wasn't sure how healthy that knee would be or if it would get back to where he needed it to consistently drive the ball. Had to be a beautiful sight for Reds fans last night when Votto is batting with runners at the corners, tied 4-4, 2 outs, and he is up 3-0 on the count. 3-0 he unleashes and fouls it back. Next pitch was an easy take and Frazier took care of the rest but you have to love to see that aggressiveness from Votto. Bottom line is the guy is finally fully healthy. Hitters hit.

April 22, 201511 yr Jon Moscot is another option to be brought up. He's not talked about in the same elite category as Iglesias, Lorenzen or Stephenson but he is just as effective as any of them and just as young as well. As far as makeup he's probably more ready to handle a spot in a Major League rotation, he throws 4 solid pitches that he can control and is capable of pitching more innings at this point in his career. Iglesias and Lorenzen would be better off pitching out of the pen while gaining big league experience, Moscot is the closest of the Reds pitching prospects to being able to handle a full workload in a Major League Rotation.

Don't remember him as a Brewer last season. This game has the possibility of a 2-0 Reds win. Votto hits a home run with Hamilton finally getting on once tonight.
April 22, 201511 yr ^Young solid arm. He started 12 games last season for them going 2-9 with an ERA just under 5. Very early this season, but last year he had an OBA of .292 and a WHIP of 1.46. So far this year, he's at .184 and 0.75 in those areas.
April 22, 201511 yr I'm not nearly as excited about the position players as you. Winker, Waldrop, Wallach and Suarez excite me. The others are just kinda "ehh" IMO. I'm not exactly excited but they are definitely building some nice depth. Sparks, Ervin and Blandino will all end up being major contributors down the road IMO. Winker obviously as well and maybe Wallach. Other than that I'm not to sure. Rodriguez still has youth on his side and is destined for a breakout later in his career potentially. He has all the tools and put together a nice season last year for once. Aquino is starting to intrigue me more and more.

April 22, 201511 yr I honestly cannot believe Marquis is still pitching for you guys... During his prime he was average with STL. I really have no idea what Walt is thinking with some of these guys this year. Well to be fair Marquis is only on the team because Walt couldn't talk Jeff Suppan or Matt Morris into coming out of retirement.
