I know his first two times up tonight as well as last night he is always swinging at first pitch, drives me nits and has cost the reds some runs by doing so. Not only did the Reds get a young stud in Desclafani that's under control for many years but they also shed the Latos contract and acquired a young catcher in Chad Wallach. Wallach is the forgotten piece of the deal and a former fifth round pick out of Cal State Fullerton. Chad is the third son of Major League All Star Tim Wallach, Tim was a 5 time All Star, won 3 gold gloves, and 2 silver sluggers while playing third base for the Montreal Expos. Wallach has some big league pedigree. 7 Hrs, 57 RBIs, .322 Avg and a .431 OBP last year between A and A+.
