March 27, 201511 yr Dont waste your time on TV , go to the web and get real, good , honest preaching. Having said that it would help to know what you are looking for . Some are good at attracting seekers , some are good at growing Christians , lots of style and variety . I'd personally recommend anything by James Mcdonald. He's a great teacher and super practical and easy to follow . Straight forward and challenging also.

March 27, 201511 yr Cool, exactly the kind of thing I am looking for. I will set the DVR up. And I don't care about the money, jets, fame, etc, I just want to hear what they have to say. In other words, I want to go into it bias free and not get caught up in the small stuff that could put a negative spin on it. I used to enjoy watching Jimmy Swaggart on TV in the '80s -- not from a theological standpoint -- but as a form of entertainment. I would rank him at the top of the list. Swaggart, related to both Jerry Lee Lewis and Mickey Gilley, would sing, preach, stir up the audience and cry his eyes out before asking for donations from those in TV Land. Check him out on youtube. Joyce Meyer certainly can work a (mostly female) audience with the best of 'em. Oral Roberts was the king of TV evangelists in his day.
March 27, 201511 yr Fr. Corapi used to just enjoy teaching but the fame got to his head. Obviously considering his superiors ordered him to end his public ministry. Not sure what he is doing now. Wouldn't surprise me as a way to teach him humility if he hasn't been put into a very lowly role. Last time I checked, the wealthy Corapi was living in a gated community in Kalispell, Montana, and is seen from time to time riding his motorcycle. The Black Sheepdog, as he styles himself, dropped out of his religious order a few years ago after the allegations of impropriety surfaced.
